Waterloo piled on five runs in the third inning and would coast to an easy 8-2 win.

The Bucks would get the bases loaded in the bottom of the third, all via walks. Then with one out, Patrick Ferguson ripped a ball into the right-center field gap to empty the bags. An error and wild pitch would score two more for Waterloo and they would go up 5-0 after three.

The Bucks would tally two more in the fifth with an RBI single from Tristian Peterson and an errant pick-off throw from Jakob Meyer.

With the score 7-0 in favor of Waterloo, the MoonDogs would plate two runs with RBI walks off Simon Graf before the Bucks got an inning-ending double-play. Waterloo would add a run of insurance  in the eighth and go on to win 8-2.

Blake Corsentino earned the win for Waterloo with six scoreless innings and only two hits. Deylan Miley took the loss for Mankato after he pitched the five-run third.

The Bucks and MoonDogs face off again tomorrow with first pitch coming at 6:35 from Cost Cutters Field at Riverfront Stadium.
