University of Iowa infielder Peyton Williams was named the 2020 Waterloo Bucks Player of the Year before Thursday’s final game at Cost Cutters Field at Riverfront Stadium. Williams won the award based on voting by Bucks Season Ticket Holders and was presented with a plaque prior to Waterloo’s last game of the 2020 campaign.
Williams entered Thursday’s game with a .291 average, 13 home runs, and 34 RBI. His 13 home runs tied a team single-season record while his .691 slugging percentage is the best in a single-season for the Bucks. Williams’ home run mark also puts him tied for 6th overall in the Bucks’ career record book.
