The Waterloo Bucks (30-21, 7-10) recorded their second straight shutout of the Bismarck Larks (25-24, 7-7) on Sunday evening behind brilliant efforts by Michael Mitchell and Nolan Santos in a 5-0 win. Mitchell picked up the win and struck out eight over 5.0 scoreless frames, scattering three hits and a walk while piling up 13 whiffs on 71 pitches. Santos earned the save by dealing the final 4.0 innings, allowing just a hit and a walk while striking out one. Josh Kasevich (2-for-5, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI) and Liam Critchett (2-for-4, 2B, RBI) each gave Waterloo multi-hit games in the win.

Chris Seng (1-for-3, BB, R, 2 SB) led off the third with a walk then stole second and third before scoring on a Jalen Smith (0-for-2, BB, HBP, R, RBI, SB, SF) sacrifice fly. Kasevich followed by belting a solo home run to deep left, making it a two-run game.

The Bucks added another run in the sixth as Jackson Lyon (1-for-4, HBP, R) singled and Critchett doubled, then Luke Fennelly (1-for-3, HBP, RBI) plated Lyon with an RBI groundout.

Leading 3-0 in the seventh, Smith was hit by a pitch with two away then stole second. Kasevich knocked him home and went to second on the throw, later scoring on a Critchett single.
