The Waterloo Bucks (40-23, 17-12) earned win No. 40 of their 2021 season with a 10-3 sweep-clinching game two win over the Eau Claire Express (24-38, 12-18) on Sunday afternoon, called after five innings due to rain. Waterloo has now won five straight and 12 of their last 14 games, holding a 2.5-game lead on the Great Plains-East second half standings. The Bucks went 8-for-15 (.533) with runners in scoring position, plating three in the second, four in the third and three more in the fourth.

Emi Gonzalez (3-for-3, 2 R, 3 RBI) rapped three hits and Sam Biller (2-for-3, BB, 2B, 5 RBI, SB) drove in five while Jackson Lyon (2-for-3, 2 R) and Liam Critchett (2-for-3, BB) added multi-hit games.

Duncan Davitt earned his fourth win of the summer with 4.0 innings of four-hit, three run baseball. The righthander rebounded incredibly well from a three-spot in the first, striking out two and walking just one. Decker Stedman tossed a three-up, three-down fifth to finish things out prior to the rain delay.

The Bucks are idle on Monday and Tuesday before returning to action at home with a 6:35 p.m. CST start against the Eau Claire Express on Wednesday, August 11.
