Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks (8–13) lost their third consecutive game on Monday, falling to the Border Cats (9–8), 4–3.
The Border Cats took a one-run lead in the fifth inning, scoring the only run through the first seven innings of the game. The eighth inning featured all of the other six runs as Waterloo took the lead with three runs in the top of the eighth, but the Border Cats came back in the bottom of the inning with three runs of their own.
Bucks starter Ty Roder gave up just one run through six innings, but his performance was matched by Border Cats starter Matthew Tippe who allowed no runs through five innings.
The Bucks will play the Border Cats twice on Tuesday. First pitch for the first game is scheduled for 11:05 a.m.
