Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks (13–20) did well to fight back from an early deficit on Sunday afternoon, but ultimately fell 7–6 to the St. Cloud Rox (21–12) in extra innings.

Bucks infielder Brandon Fish recorded a bases-clearing three-RBI base hit in the bottom of the eighth to evaporate what was then a three-run lead for the Rox. That hit officially tied Fish for the league lead in RBIs with Duluth’s Michael Hallquist.

While Bucks starter Jack Nathan struggled out of the gate, only getting through 1.2 innings before getting pulled out, the Bucks pitching staff had a solid day behind the power of their relievers. Over the course of the game, the Bucks forced the Rox to strand a total of 14 players on base.

With the final day of the first half coming up on Monday, the Bucks will look to work a series split against the Rox as they play again at 6:35 p.m.
