La Crosse, WI – The Waterloo Bucks (25–22) had their nine-game win streak come to an end on Saturday night, falling 15–5 to the La Crosse Loggers (23–21).

This loss puts the Bucks in second place in the Great Plains East second half standings as the Loggers move ahead of them based on win percentage.

The Loggers dominated for the majority night, jumping ahead in the first inning with a two-run double from Ethan Frey. From there, the Loggers went on to score at least one run in seven of the eight innings they came to the plate, including an inning in the sixth where they crossed the home six times.

Catcher Ben Gallaher was the main bright spot for the Bucks, going 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI. Outfielder Cole Hill hit an RBI-double for the Bucks in the top of the 2nd, giving him his 15th double of the season which is the most of any player any the league.

The Bucks and Loggers will play the second game of their weekend series on Sunday at 5:05 p.m.
