Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks (26–24) worked a series split against the Eau Claire Express (26–24) on Wednesday night, winning 9–3 in the final game of the season series between the two teams.

The Bucks got on the board first in the second inning and proceeded to score at least one run in the next four innings. The Express scored two in the top of the seventh, but they hung zeros in the final two innings to go down quietly down the stretch.

Outfielder Michael Lippe led the way for the Bucks at the plate, going 3-for-5 with an RBI, and run scored and two stolen bases. Infielder Elliot Good and outfielder Will Marcy weren’t far behind on offense, both getting two hits, scoring a run and combining for three RBIs.

The Bucks pitching also bounced back nicely, allowing just three runs on seven hits. Bucks starter Seth White gave up just one run on four hits while the bullpen gave up two runs over the next five innings.

The Bucks will now travel out to Mankato for the first game of a three game series against the MoonDogs. First pitch for that game is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
