MERCHANDISE                         TICKET PACKAGES                         JERSEYS

Waterloo, Iowa – The Waterloo Bucks have announced their first alternate identity in franchise history.  In 2025, the team will take the field four times as the Iowa Sweet Corn.

For four of the team’s five Friday home games in 2025, the Bucks will trade in their traditional royal blue pinstripes for the green and yellow shades of the Iowa Sweet Corn.  Inspired by the delicious summertime Midwest treat, Iowa Sweet Corn Nights will feature custom uniforms, a corn-holder giveaway, and sweet corn sold at the concessions stands, while supplies last.  In addition, all Iowa Sweet Corn games will feature the traditional Riverfront Stadium 2-for-1 Friday beverage specials.

Game-worn Iowa Sweet Corn jerseys are currently up for auction, with the auction ending towards the completion of the last Sweet Corn game on August 1.  In addition, Sweet Corn merchandise and a special Sweet Corn home game ticket package are now available online.

“The Iowa Sweet Corn alternate identity has been a long time in the making,” said Bucks general manager Dan Corbin.  “This will be a fun way to honor the one percent of corn that is grown in Iowa while giving our organization a fresh look on the field this summer.  Friday home games in Waterloo this summer will be sweet!”

The Iowa Sweet Corn will take the field on the following nights:

  • Friday, June 6 – 6:35 pm – vs. Thunder Bay Border Cats
    • Post-Game Fireworks Extravaganza presented by CN Rail
    • Corn Holder Giveaway for the first 500 fans
  • Friday, July 11 – 6:35 pm – vs. St. Cloud Rox
    • Game Sponsor: Alive & Running Iowa
  • Friday, July 18 – 6:35 pm – vs. Eau Claire Express
    • Game Sponsor: Chick-fil-A
  • Friday, August 1 – 6:35 pm – vs. La Crosse Loggers
    • Season-Long Sweet Corn Jersey Auction ends at 8:45 pm CT

The Sweet Corn will suit up for Friday games wearing corn-themed jerseys tops and black pants which represent the rich black soil that creates such great corn growth in Iowa.
