Waterloo, IA – The Waterloo Bucks coasted by the Rochester Honkers 14-2 in the second game of a doubleheader at Riverfront Stadium on Monday, June 16.

Waterloo smashed a season-high seven extra-base hits in the contest, hitting five doubles, one triple, and a home run. Jake Bechtel led all batters with three hits including two doubles and a triple while driving in two in the process.

Will Johnson and Larry Edwards led all hitters by driving in three runs apiece. Ian Halverson hit the only home run of the game, and he also contributed with two walks along with a sacrifice fly. Jimmy Nugent and Caleb Parker each knocked in a run as well.

Camden Lyke picked up his first career win in the Northwoods League, going 5.1 IP with just four hits and one walk on his line. He surrendered only two runs on the evening while punching out that same amount.

Kole Bradley led all pitchers with four strikeouts, tossing scoreless frames in the eighth and ninth innings, and Konner Entz hurled 1.2 IP, allowing only one baserunner and collecting two punchouts.

Ethan Rossi, Edwards, and Nugent all doubled and scored two runs in the victory. Additionally, Marcus Heusohn walked thrice for the third time this season. With this performance, Heusohn has now walked multiple times in nine contests this year, and he has increased his on-base streak to 17 games.

The Bucks take on the Honkers at Riverfront Stadium again tomorrow, June 17, at 6:35 pm (CDT) with Chris Petersen taking on Julian Castro.
