St. Cloud started off their 2014 season on a tear, but cooled off due to timely mistakes and a lack of production from their lead off hitters. They managed to find their early season stride against the Bucks, though.

The Bucks were able to overcome a rocky start to Monday night's first contest, after three runs scored in the top of the first inning. The Bucks followed suit in the bottom half of the first, tallying three and tying the game. St. Cloud answered back with a run in the second, and that eventually did the Bucks in.

Dane Dunning took the loss for the Bucks, allowing four runs and six hits over five innings. 2 errors proved costly for the Bucks, as well.

Kenny Anderson was the winning pitcher for St. Cloud, pitching a complete game and allowing the BUcks only three runs.

The loss ends Waterloo's eight game win streak. The Bucks send AJ Puk to the mound for game two of their double header against the Rox, scheduled to start 30 minutes following the completion of game one.
