Waterloo, Iowa – The Waterloo Bucks have announced details of their July 4 modified twin-bill versus the Rochester Honkers at Riverfront Stadium.  Gates will open at 5:00 pm with the completion of the Bucks/Honkers June 14 game starting at 6:05 pm.  The originally scheduled July 4 game will then start 30 minutes after the completion of the first game, or at 7:05 pm, whichever is later.

The June 14 Bucks/Honkers tilt was suspended after the completion of the eighth inning due to Northwoods League curfew rules.  Action of that game will pick up in the top of the ninth inning, with nobody on base, no outs, and Waterloo leading 3-2.  After game one is complete, the Bucks and Honkers will then play their regularly scheduled nine inning contest.

July 4 features a multitude of promotions, leading off with Buck Night.  There will be $1 beer, fountain soda, popcorn, and ice cream sandwiches along with $1.50 hot dogs all evening long.  In addition, the first 1,000 fans will receive a Military Heroes Baseball Card set, featuring military members from the Cedar Valley.  After the completion of that day’s first game, the Bucks will honor the Military Heroes that are featured in the Military Heroes Card set on the field.

Game two will feature the Bucks wearing Independence Day Jerseys presented by The Screaming Eagle, The Wild Hare, and The Dirty Dog American Bars & Grills.  Jerseys will be auctioned off during the game with all proceeds going to Waterloo Honor Flight.  The evening will end with a bang, as the Bucks will present a special Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza after the completion of game two.

Finally, the Budweiser Party Deck will be open to the public, with service beginning at 6:35 pm.  The all-you-can-eat/drink venue offers a one-of-a-kind view from right field. The cost is $30 and includes a game ticket. This offer is only available by calling the Bucks Ticket Office at 319-232-5633.  The doubleheader will be part of the SCHEELS Highway 63 Cup.

Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets early in order to ensure seat availability, either through Bucks Ticket Office at 319-232-5633 or online at www.waterloobucks.com, as this is expected to be one of the most attended Bucks games in 2016.

The Bucks start a six-game road trip on Tuesday, traveling to St. Cloud, Willmar, and Duluth for two game sets each.  The team returns home on Monday, June 27 to start a five-game homestand.  First pitch for Monday’s game is scheduled for 7:05 pm versus the La Crosse Loggers and it will be a Buck Night, featuring $1 beer, fountain soda, popcorn, and ice cream sandwiches along with $1.50 hot dogs.

The Bucks play at Riverfront Stadium where the team welcomed a new state of the art video board in 2016 thanks to a matching grant from the Black Hawk County Gaming Association.  Team ownership has invested more than $170,000 in improvements since the end of the 2014 season including painted bleachers, public Wi-Fi, sound system, group outing areas, and concessions equipment.  Season tickets, individual game tickets, and group outings are currently on sale by calling the Bucks’ Ticket Line at (319) 232-5633.  Fans are encouraged to stay in touch during the season with the Bucks by utilizing their website at www.waterloobucks.com or utilizing the Waterloo Bucks app.
