EAU CLAIRE, WI- The Waterloo Bucks (27-16) had their chances but Zach Ashford delivered an RBI base knock to walk if off for the Eau Claire Express (19-24) 1-0 on Tuesday, July 11.

Luke Eldred set down 20 straight hitters before Charlie Concannon broke up the perfect game with a single to right field in the top of the seventh. Ryan Garcia matched Eldred's gem the best he could by tossing six and two thirds shutout innings whil striking out six batters.

The Bucks relied on outstanding defense to get themselves out of some jams including Deion Thompson snagging a line drive and doubling up the runner at second base to send the game to extra innings in a 0-0 deadlock.

Joe Gaworski (2-2) set the Bucks down in order in the top of the tenth and Ryan Dunne (1-2) stayed in the game for Waterloo in the bottom of the tenth. With two outs and a runner at first base, Ashford flared a line drive to left out of the reach of Concannon's diving attempt. Zach Gilles scored all the way from first in the Express 1-0 walk-off victory.

Eau Claire plays host to the Bucks again tomorrow, July 12 at 6:35 p.m. from Carson Park in the series finale.
