Mills, a Clarksville, Tenn. native, threw six strong innings for Madison allowing two earned runs and four hits. The Tennessee-Martin junior also struck out 13 Battle Creek batters. Mills struck out 74 batters in 89 innings pitched at Tennesse-Martin this season.
The Mallards defeated the Bombers on the back of Mills, 6-5. The team is back in action Thursday night at Warner Park in Madison. First pitch is 7:05 p.m.
