The Express got off to a hot start on Thursday night in Mequon in taking on the Lakeshore Chinooks. Eau Claire was starting to see some life in its offense, taking a 4-2 lead over the Chinooks at Kapco Park, when the fog rolled in. Due to unplayable conditions, Thursday's game was suspended to be finished on Friday. The two teams will pick up where they left off in the top of the fourth inning starting at 4:00 PM on Friday, June 27. That nine-inning contest will be finished and will be followed by a seven-inning ballgame to follow.
The Express return home on Monday, June 30 as they take on the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters at Carson Park for the team's first ever Kid's Day. First pitch is at noon and kids activities begin on the Hank Aaron Plaza beginning at 10:30 AM. All kids K-12 receive free admission and a free hot dog and soda compliments of the game's sponsor, Marshfield Clinic. Make sure to stop out to take part in this unique event!
