Following a series victory over the Willmar Stingers in the best-of-three Sub-Divisional Series, the St. Cloud Rox will travel to Eau Claire, Wisconsin, today to face the Eau Claire Express in a winner-take-all matchup for the Great Plains Divisional Championship.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, with the winner advancing to the Northwoods League Championship Game.
The Eau Claire Express earned their spot in the divisional championship after defeating the La Crosse Loggers in three games in their Sub-Divisional Series. Eau Claire will host the Rox for a shot at the Northwoods League Championship Game, where the winner will face the Royal Oak Leprechauns.
Should the Rox defeat the Express, the Northwoods League Championship Game will return to Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud on Thursday, August 13, at 6:35 p.m.
The Rox are one win away from a Northwoods League Championship appearance, with Wednesday night’s winner-take-all matchup in Eau Claire determining who advances to the league championship.
