St. Cloud, MN – Four St. Cloud Rox players and Field Manager Al Newman will represent the Rox at the 2018 Major League Dreams Showcase on Tuesday, August 7 at Warner Park in Madison, Wisconsin.
Pitchers Kyle Richardson (Texas A&M), Finn Del Bonta-Smith (San Jose State), Erik Martinez (California-Berkeley) and John Matthews (Kent State) all will be participating in the showcase. Two-time World Series Champion and Rox Field Manager Al Newman will serve as one of the managers in the annual showcase.
The Major League Dreams Showcase will consist of a doubleheader featuring the top players from the Northwoods League who were selected by a panel of Major League Baseball Scouts. The players will participate in a day of workouts in front of scouts which will be followed by the doubleheader. Proceeds from the showcase will benefit the Northwoods League Foundation.
The first game of the doubleheader, which features North Division players and will begin at 4:05 p.m. on August 7, will feature Richardson, Del Bonta-Smith and Martinez on the visiting team, which will be led by Newman as the field manager. Matthews will be on the home team roster, going up against his fellow Rox teammates and coach.
The second game of the doubleheader, which contains South Division players, will begin shortly after the first game around 7:35 p.m. in Madison.

St. Cloud returns to the Rock Pile for a handful of games stretching over the course of this week. The Rox will play five games at home during that span, which begins at 7:05 p.m. Monday night against La Crosse.
