Cooper Cain (Valdosta State) earned tonight’s pitcher of the night for keeping Rockford in the game against Fond du Lac. He pitched with the lead until the fourth inning when he allowed a walk and a wild pitch, but managed to strikeout two out of three batters. Cain retired the next six out of seven batters. He only allowed one hit, four walks and struck out 10, but didn’t get the win because of a walk-off for Fondy in the 9th.
