The St. Cloud Rox started this Saturday afternoon out with a bang! The Rox crushed the Bismarck Larks with a final score 19-8 during game one of the doubleheader series. During game two the Rox were victorious again with a final score 6-3. The Wisconsin Woodchucks dominated the Kalamazoo Growlers with an ending game score 0f 9-1. A great performance was played by Woodchucks Lawrence Cicileo (Adelphi University) with one home run and two RBI at the plate. 

St. Cloud Rox 19, Bismarck Larks 8 (Game #1) 

The St. Cloud Rox dominated the Bismarck Larks this afternoon in the teams first game of two in their doubleheader series. The final score was an impressive 19-8. The Rox had a great run throughout the game taking charge in the first inning scoring four runs over the Larks. Bismarck’s Matt Warkentin (Xavier) hit one home run along with two RBI. Rox Garett Delano (Brown University) had one home run and Landon Stephens (Miami-Ohio) hit two home runs. The winning pitcher was Hance Smith (California-Berkeley) who pitched two innings letting no runs or hits pass him at the mound. The losing pitcher was Bismarck’s Corey Treyes (Coppin State). 

St. Cloud Rox 6, Bismarck Larks 3 (Game #2) 

In game #2 between the St. Cloud Rox and Bismarck Larks the Rox came out on top beating the Larks for the second time tonight. The final score was a solid 6-3. St. Cloud’s Gus Steiger (South Dakota State) and Landon Stephens (Miami-Ohio) both hit home runs along with one RBI each. Bismarck’s Jacob Rogers (BYU) had two RBI and one home run. The winning pitcher was Max Rippl (Kent State) who pitched three innings with no runs, one hit, and two strike outs of the Rox. RJ Martinez (Minot State) came out with the saving pitch in the last inning for St. Cloud and Larks losing pitcher was Dominic Arias (Chicago State). 

Kokomo Jackrabbits 3, Rockford Rivets 0 (Game #1) 

The Kokomo Jackrabbits shut out the Rockford Rivets with an ending game score 3-0. The Jackrabbits had three runs and eight hits throughout the game. Hagan Severance (Belmont) had one double and one RBI for the Jackrabbits. The winning pitcher was Creede Jeffers (UC-Colorado Springs) with no runs, five hits, and while striking out six during his six inning period. Joey Haass (Delaware) came in for the saving pitch and the losing pitcher was Rivets Dugan Darnell (Adrian College). 

Kokomo Jackrabbits 1, Rockford Rivets 6 (Game #2) 

The Rockford Rivets gave it all they got during the game #2! The Rivets defeated the Kokomo Jackrabbits. The Rivets had a total of six runs and seven hits throughout the teams second game of the night. Jake VanderWal (Long Beach State) had one home run and three RBI for the Rivets. The winning pitcher of the game was Jordan Nelson (Dubuque) who pitched all seven innings giving up one run, four hits, and striking out eight. The losing pitcher was Jackrabbits Blaine Traxel. 

Waterloo Bucks 4, Mankato MoonDogs 8

The Mankato MoonDogs defeated the Waterloo Bucks with a final game score of 8-4. The MoonDogs rallied in the bottom of the ninth inning broadening the lead between the Bucks by scoring two runs. Waterloo’s R.J. Teijeiro (UCLA) had one triple hit and two RBI. Adan Fernandez (FIU) hit one double and two RBI for Mankato. The winning pitcher of the game was MoonDogs Jack Schneider (Grand Canyon) who pitched seven innings with four runs, five hits, and striking out five Bucks. Fabian Muniz (Angelo State) was the saving pitcher and Waterloo’s losing pitcher was Noah Conlon (UC-San Diego). 

Willmar Stingers 7, Rochester Honkers 8

The Rochester Honkers beat the Willmar Stingers in a close battle with an ending game score of 8-7. The Stingers took the lead right off the bat scoring five runs but, the Honkers came together during the eight inning and ran one run to steal the lead. Stingers Daniel Walsh (Sacramento City) and Noah Haupt (New Mexico State) both had two RBI during tonights game. Andy Armstrong (Oregon State University) hit one double and three RBI for the Honkers. The winning pitcher was Rochester’s Keon Taylor (Georgetown College) giving up no runs, no hits, and striking out four during his two innings at the mound. The losing pitcher was Aldo Fernandez (New Mexico State). 

Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 12, Madison Mallards 5

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters beat the Madison Mallards with a strong 12-5 final score. The Rafters had a total of twelve runs and fifteen hits through tonights game. CJ Willis (LSU) had one home run and one RBI for Wisconsin. Madison’s Timo Schau (Southern-Wesleyan) hit one double and one RBI. The winning pitcher was Neil Abbatiello (Wagner) giving up no runs and two hits for the Rapids Rafters. The losing pitcher was Madison’s Quinn Gudaitis (Illinois Wesleyan University). 

Lakeshore Chinooks 6, Kenosha Kingfish 3

The Lakeshore Chinooks came out on top over the Kenosha Kingfish with a final score 6-3. The Chinooks had a total of nine hits and six runs throughout the game. Jake Thompson (Kentucky) and Ronnie Sweeny III (Iowa Western) both hit one double and one RBI for Lakeshore. Kenosha’s Roberto Pena (University of Florida) had one RBI and one double as well during tonights game. The winning pitcher was Jim Jarecki (Valparaiso) who gave up one run and one hit during his two inning at the mound. Chinooks Will Klein (Eastern Illinois) was the saving pitcher of the game and Caleb Larson (University of Illinois) was Kingfish losing pitcher. 

Thunder Bay Border Cats 3, Eau Claire Express 11

The Eau Claire Express crushed the Thunder Bay Border Cats with a final score 11-3. In the bottom of the fourth inning the Express’ took control of the game scoring eight runs to take the lead and the win. Connor Laspina (Flagler) hit one home run along with one double and four RBI for the Eau Claire’s. The games winning pitcher was Tim Ewald (Dallas Baptist) with no runs, two hits, and five strike outs during his five innings of work. The losing pitcher was Thunder Bay’s Austin Breazeale (Gateway CC (AZ)). 

Green Bay Booyah 3, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 2

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders lost in a close battle against the Green Bay Booyah during tonights game. The Spiders pulled through in the bottom of the ninth making moves over Green Bay and scoring one run to capture the win. Brady West (North Greenville) had three RBI for the Booyah. Fond du Lac’s Aaron Anderson (Flagler) hit one double. The winning pitcher was Green Bay’s Chris Jefferson (New Mexico State) who pitched five innings giving up one run and striking out four Spiders. Tanner Lane (Pittsburg State) was the saving pitcher and Houston Glad (Texas Wesleyan) was the losing pitcher for the Spiders. 

La Crosse Loggers 0, Duluth Huskies 6

The Duluth Huskies shut out the La Crosse Loggers with an ending game score 6-0. The Huskies started off the night strong scoring two runs in the bottom of the first to take the lead and continue with it for the remainder of the game. Alex Tappen (Virginia) hit three RBI and one double for Duluth. The winning pitcher of the game was Schuyler Hill (Vangurard) who pitched a solid six inning with no runs, three hits, and four strike outs. The losing pitcher was Loggers Samuel Torsey (Viterbo). 

Wisconsin Woodchucks 9, Kalamazoo Growlers 1

The Wisconsin Woodchucks stomped on the Kalamazoo Growlers with a strong fourth inning scoring five runs. The final score was a blow out 9-1. Lawrence Cicileo (Adelphi University) hit one home run, two RBI, and one double for the Woodchucks. Growlers Jimmy Sullivan (University of Virginia) hit one double and one RBI. Robert Wegielnik (FL Southwest State College) was the winning pitcher with one run and one strike out during his five inning of work. The losing pitcher was Kalamazoo’s Brennan Cox (Wayne State University). 

Traverse City Pit Spitters, Battle Creek Bombers 

Tonight’s game in Battle Creek between the Bombers and the Pit Spitters has been suspended in the 6th inning due to light failure. The game will be completed to nine innings tomorrow in Battle Creek starting at 11:45. The regularly scheduled game will take place 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game and it will be nine innings as well.
