Adam Wheaton (Trine University) made history on Monday night, as he threw the first no-hitter of the 2020 Northwoods League season to help the Growlers split a doubleheader with the Battle Creek Bombers.

Wheaton was dealing, as he struck out six batters in the five-inning matchup. This was the seventh appearance of the season for him. He is 1-0 on the season with one save. In 16 innings pitched he has allowed three earned runs and recorded 21 strikeouts. His season ERA sits at 1.69, while his WHIP (walks and hits per inning pitched) is 0.75.
