The St. Cloud Rox entered the night on the verge of clinching the Minnesota-Iowa Pod championship. They did their part, as they beat the Rochester Honkers 11-4, giving them a magic number to clinch of one. The Mandan Flickertails, Willmar Stingers and Wisconsin Rapids Rafters all had good nights, scoring double-digit runs to pick up blowout wins.

Kalamazoo Mac Daddies 3 Battle Creek Bombers 0
The Mac Daddies put up three runs in the bottom of the fourth to slip past the Bombers in the first game of the night Wednesday. Shawn Goosenberg (Northwestern) and Vince Bianchina (Northwestern) were the only Kalamazoo batters to record hits, with Bianchina also picking up an RBI. They got a solid pitching performance from Tanner Knapp (Kalamazoo Valley CC), who threw all five innings, allowing no runs on one hit with six strikeouts to pick up his third win of the season.
Battle Creek Bombers 3 Kalamazoo Mac Daddies 0
The Bombers got a three-run inning of their own in the nightcap to salvage a Wednesday split. Jarrett Batanian (Concordia University) went 1-2 for Battle Creek, with a two-RBI double in the second. Preston Sherman (Concordia University) also picked up an RBI single in the inning, while Pete Theodorellis (Molloy College) was 2-2 with a run scored. Josh Avink (Kalamazoo Valley CC) threw three scoreless innings for the Bombers, allowing two hits with two strikeouts to earn his first win of the season. Theodorellis threw two innings to pick up the save.
Traverse City Pit Spitters 8 Great Lakes Resorters 3
After trading blows in the first, the Pit Spitters scored four runs in the top of the fifth to pull away from the Resorters. Carson Eby (Davenport University) provided some offense, hitting a two-run home run in the fifth inning, finishing the game 2-3 with three runs batted in. Tito Flores (Michigan) was 2-4 at the plate, with a double and two runs batted in, while Chris Monroe (University of Illinois Springfield) went 2-2 with a pair of runs scored. Joey Drury (Davenport University) threw one scoreless inning in relief to pick up his second win of the season.

Kenosha Kingfish 5 K-Town Bobbers 3
The Bobbers jumped out to an early 3-1 lead, but the Kingfish came storming back in the fifth, scoring three runs to take a lead that they would extend in the sixth to take a 5-3 decision. Jack Thelen (UW-Milwaukee) was 3-5 for the Kingfish, with two doubles, a home run and two runs batted in. McKay Barney (BYU) also had multiple hits, going 2-4 with a double and two runs scored. Mike Edwards (UW-Milwaukee) threw six innings for Kenosha, allowing three runs on eight hits with eight strikeouts to improve to 4-1 on the season. Nick Meyer (Otterbein University) threw a scoreless inning to pick up the save, his second of 2020.

St. Cloud Rox 11 Rochester Honkers 4
The Rox scored six runs in the top of the eighth to break the game wide open, leading to a 11-4 win. Jordan Barth (Augustana) was 2-5 for the Rox, with a home run and two RBI while Ben Norman (Iowa) went 1-5 with a double and two runs batted in. Kodie Kolden (Washington State) had three hits for St. Cloud, with three runs scored and an RBI. Andrew Pintar (BYU) Jack Kelly (Minnesota), Jack Winkler (San Francisco) and Sam Ireland (Minnesota) all had two hits for the Rox. Trent Schoeberl (Minnesota) threw six and one-third of an inning, allowing no runs on one hit with a season-high seven strikeouts to earn his first win of the season.
Willmar Stingers 14 Mankato MoonDogs 3
The Stingers wasted no time on Wednesday, scoring all 14 runs in the first four innings to handily top the Mankato MoonDogs. Kyle Manzardo (Washington State) was 3-6 for Willmar, with a pair of doubles and three runs batted in. Cesar Lopez (Cal State Poly-Pomona) was 4-6, with a double and two RBI while Jayson Newman (Cal State Northeidge) went 2-5, with a double and three RBI. John Bezdicek (Southwest Minnesota State) threw six innings for the Stingers, allowing three runs on eight hits with 11 strikeouts to improve to 4-1 on the season. Teddy Broxterman (Southwest Minnesota State) and Ben Borrman (Minnesota State University Mankato) both had shutout appearances, with Broxterman recording three strikeouts in two innings pitched.

Green Bay Booyah 4 Rockford Rivets 0
Logan Lee (Northwood University) threw four and two-thirds of an inning in relief to lead the Booyah to a 4-0 win over the Rivets. Lee allowed one hit and recorded nine strikeouts to improve to 3-0 on the season. Andy Blake (Columbia) was 2-4 for Green Bay, with a double and two RBI while Cameron Tilly (Akron) was also 2-4 with a pair of runs batted in. Connor Spear (UW-Whitewater) finished the game on the mound, throwing one and one-third of an inning with two strikeouts.
Wisconsin Woodchucks 5 La Crosse Loggers 4
There wasn’t a major offensive outburst for the Woodchucks on Wednesday, but they did string together five runs on six hits to slip past the Loggers at Copeland Park. Tom Josten (Central Florida) had a big night for the Woodchucks, going 3-4, with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored. Bobby Vath (New York Institute of Technology) turned in a solid start for Wisconsin, throwing six innings, allowing two runs on seven hits with eight strikeouts to pick up his first win of the season. Nathan Mirochnick (Rhodes College) threw three innings to pick up the save.
Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 11 Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 2
Wisconsin Rapids scored three runs in the third to take a lead that not only did they not relinquish, but they kept adding to it, capping things off with a three-run top of the ninth to beat the Dock Spiders on Wednesday. Hank Zeisler (Chapman University) was 3-4 for the Rafters, with a double and three RBI. Andy Garriola (Old Dominion) was 2-5, with three runs batted in while Richie Schiekofer (Rutgers) went 2-4, with a double, a triple and three runs scored. Jack Gonzales (Dixie State) threw four innings, allowing no runs on five hits with five strikeouts to earn the win, while Gage Smart (Campblesville University) and Hunter Waldie (Seton Hall) both had scoreless relief outings.
North Dakota Pod
Mandan Flickertails 11 Bismarck Bull Moose 0
Patrick Pridgen (Oregon) was dominant for the Flickertails, recording a season-high 12 strikeouts to help the Flickertails to a commanding win over the Bull Moose, who only managed one hit all night. There was no shortage of hits for Mandan, who pounded out 13 as a team. Tyler Keith (Post University) was 3-4, with a home run and three RBI while Lenny Walker (St. Cloud State) was 3-3, with three runs batted in of his own. Jakob Kouneski (North Iowa Area CC) went 2-5, with a double and two runs scored for the Flickeratils. Pridgen ended up throwing seven and one-third of an inning, allowing one hit and striking out 12 batters to pick up his second win of the season.
