Miguel Larreal (Hillsborough Community College) recorded four hits, a walk, an RBI, and a run scored for the Battle Creek Bombers as they defeated the Kokomo Jackrabbits 4-2. Burrell Jones (Michigan State University) pitched seven two-run innings. Connor Linchey (St. Mary’s) threw six scoreless innings for Kokomo.
Traverse City Pit Spitters 4 Kalamazoo Growlers 3
The Traverse City Pit Spitters took advantage of eight walks and two Kalamazoo Growlers errors in their 4-3 win. Trey Yunger (Wofford College) took three free passes. The Growlers scored three runs on six hits and two Pit Spitters errors.
Madison Mallards 6 Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 2
Jack Cavanaugh (University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee) recorded three hits and scored a run for the Madison Mallards in their 6-2 win against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. The Mallards pitchers combined to strike out 11 Rafters batters. Hank Zeisler (Chapman University) hit his first home run of the season for the Rafters.
Rockford Rivets 10 Kenosha Kingfish 3
Jace Warkentien (Western Illinois University) threw eight innings and only allowed two runs in the Rockford Rivets’ 10-3 victory over the Kenosha Kingfish. Tyeler Hawkins (University of Louisville) recorded three hits, including a home run. Eight Kingfish hitters reached base safely.
Green Bay Booyah 4 Lakeshore Chinooks 3
Mason Patel (Georgia State University) pitched five shutout innings for the Green Bay Booyah in their 4-3 win against the Lakeshore Chinooks. Patel only allowed two hits. Stephen Hrustitch (Northwestern University) recorded two hits and an RBI in his season debut for the Chinooks.
Wisconsin Woodchucks 5 Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 0
Osvaldo Mendez (Alabama State University) threw five shutout innings as the Wisconsin Woodchucks defeated the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 5-0. Mendez struck out nine batters and only allowed four hits. Chandler Simpson (University of Alabama at Birmingham) recorded two hits for the Dock Spiders.
Mankato MoonDogs 2 Willmar Stingers 1
Luke Young (Midland College) pitched 7 ⅓ one-run innings for the Mankato MoonDogs in their 2-1 victory over the Willmar Stingers. Young only allowed one hit and struck out five batters. The MoonDogs pitchers held the Stingers to just two hits.
Bismarck Larks 8 La Crosse Loggers 6
Ethan Kleinheider (Rockhurst University) collected two hits and two RBI as the Bismarck Larks defeated the La Crosse Loggers 8-6. Cole Roberts (Loyola Marymount University) drew four walks and scored twice in his Larks season debut. Kyle Casper (University of Arizona) singled twice, doubled, scored three runs, and brought in a run for the Loggers.
Waterloo Bucks 11 Eau Claire Express 3
Five Waterloo Bucks players each recorded two hits in the Bucks 11-3 win over the Eau Claire Express. Four of those players also doubled. Preston Godfrey (Central Arizona College) singled, walked, and brought in a run for the Express.
St. Cloud Rox 12 Duluth Huskies 0
The St. Cloud Rox plated four runs in the first inning en route to a 12-0 shutout of the Duluth Huskies. Every Rox player reached base safely at least once. Charlie Rhee (San Diego State University) collected two hits for the Huskies.
