The Larks and Lignite Energy Council Launch the Search for North Dakota’s Top Teachers in 2024
BISMARCK, ND – March 25, 2024 – The Larks, in collaboration with the Lignite Energy Council, have launched their annual statewide search to identify and honor the most exceptional educators in North Dakota. Dubbed the “Larks 2024 Teacher of the Year,” this initiative recognizes teachers who go above and beyond to make learning an exciting and inspiring journey for their students.
“We believe that great teachers deserve to be celebrated for their dedication and impact on students’ lives,” said John Bollinger, GM and owner of the Larks. “Through this program, we hope to shine a spotlight on educators who embody the spirit of fun, enthusiasm, and innovation in the classroom.”
Nominations for the “Larks 2024 Teacher of the Year” are now open, inviting students across North Dakota to nominate their favorite teachers who make learning an unforgettable adventure. Whether it’s through creative lessons, engaging activities, or a contagious passion for their subject matter, the search is on for educators who consistently elevate the learning experience.
To sweeten the deal, the first 100 teachers nominated will receive a complimentary ticket to the Larks Teacher of the Year Theme Night, where they’ll be honored for their dedication to education and their students.
But the recognition doesn’t stop there. Finalists for the Kids’ Choice Awards: Teacher Edition will receive a range of exciting perks, including an in-person visit or assembly featuring Clark the Lark, the Larks’ beloved mascot, who will delight students and teachers alike with his antics and perhaps a bit of slime.
Finalists will receive tickets to the Kids’ Choice Awards: Teacher Edition Night, where they’ll be honored on the field alongside the students who nominated them. Each finalist will also receive a personalized Larks jersey and be featured in the Larks’ game day program.
In addition to all the aforementioned perks, the overall winner will receive a $1,000 STEM Technology grant for their school, empowering them to further enhance the learning experience for their students. They will also receive a $250 gift card for school supplies, ensuring that their classroom is fully equipped to continue inspiring the next generation.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the Larks to recognize and celebrate the incredible educators who shape the future of our state,” said Jane Smith, President of the Lignite Energy Council. “Together, we’re excited to honor these unsung heroes and express our gratitude for their tireless efforts in educating and inspiring our youth.”
