The Larks and Lignite Energy Council want to find the BEST teachers in North Dakota in 2026. We’re searching far and wide for teachers who always have FUN, make learning AWESOME, and EXCITE and INSPIRE students.

How Do I Nominate My Teacher?

  • Nominations are open from April 6th to April 24th
  • We are asking all kids to nominate their best teacher to be named the “Larks 2026 Teacher of the Year” at a Larks game this summer.
  • The first 50 teachers nominated receive (1) FREE ticket to the Larks teacher of the Year theme night on June 16!
  • Fill out form down below to nominate!

How Do I Vote?

  • The five finalists will be featured on KFYR-TV before the June 19th game. Fans and viewers can go to kfyrtv.com to vote for Teacher of the Year
  • Stay tuned to find out when voting begins.

What Do the Finalists Receive?

The finalists for the Kids’ Choice Awards: Teacher Edition Receive

  • An in person classroom visit where Clark the Lark will surprise your students with pizza or ice cream.
  • (2) tickets to Kids’ Choice Awards: Teacher Edition Night (June 16)
  • On-field recognition during the game with student who nominated them
  • A personalized Larks jersey
  • Featured story in the Larks game day program.

The overall winner of Kids’ Choice Awards: Teacher Edition will receive all the perks above, Plus

  • A $1,000 STEM Technology grant for their school
  • A $250 gift card for school supplies
