ROCHESTER, Minn. (July 15, 2012) – The Wisconsin Woodchucks stayed hot on Sunday as they are now 9-1 in the second half of play and undefeated at home. The Duluth Huskies inched closer to the Willmar Stingers in the North Division, as they now sit just a half game back of first place. 

Alexandria 6, Rochester 4

Jimmy Pickens (Michigan State) went 2-for-4 with an RBI, a run scored and a stolen base to help the Beetles to the victory in game on of this series. The Honkers will host Alexandria again on Monday at 1:05 p.m. 

Waterloo 4, Willmar 3

Kevin Kaczmarksi (Evansville) continued to have a good season as he picked up his 33 RBI in the top of the sixth inning. The Stingers will host the Bucks on Monday at 7:05 p.m.

Thunder Bay 2, Duluth 5

Wade Wass (Meridian CC) was 3-for-4 with three RBI and a run scored. He also picked up his first home run of the season. The Border Cats will host the Huskies on Monday for a 7:05 p.m. ET start time. 

Mankato 8, St. Cloud 14

Tony Skjefte (Minnesota) was 3-for-6 at the plate with three RBI and two runs scored, including his first home run of the season for St. Cloud. The Rox will host the MoonDogs again on Monday at 7:05 p.m.

La Crosse 4, Wisconsin 5

The Woodchucks scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to come back and win the game. Mike Bernal (Oklahoma State) scored the game-winning run when Skyler Ewing (Rice) drew a walk with the bases loaded.  

Madison 7, Wisconsin Rapids 8

Sean Godfrey (Ball State) was 3-for-5 at the plate with two RBI and two runs scored for the Rafters. He also had two stolen bases on the afternoon. The Mallards will host Green Bay on Monday for a 7:05 p.m. start.

Eau Claire 2, Lakeshore 9

Brian Anderson (Arkansas) was 3-for-3 at the plate with three RBI and a run scored to help the Chinooks. He also picked up his second home run of the season. The Express will host the Bombers on Monday at 6:35 p.m.

Green Bay 11, Battle Creek 8

 

David Armendariz (Cal Poly) was 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBI and two runs scored for the Bullfrogs in their 11-8 victory.
