The Kenosha Kingfish shutout the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, 14-0 in their first Northwoods League game. The offense was powered by hitter of the night Caleb Howell, but it was a dominant pitching performance that led the Kingfish to victory.
Hawaii Pacific sophomore Josh "Rico" Garcia went six strong, earning a victory. He struck out five and didn't allow a run and even retired 15 batters in a row at one point. He also gave up just two hits and allowed a single walk.
The Kingfish take on the Rafters again tomorrow night at 7:05.
