La Crosse 4, Kenosha 3

The Loggers won their fifth straight win with a 5-3 victory over the Kingfish. Kenosha jumped ahead 3-2 in the top of the eighth but La Crosse had an answer as Nash Knight had a two-run single to give La Crosse the win. Reliever Grant Yost (Sacramento City CC) earned the run with two strong innings of relief while Ty Provencher (Long Beach St) pitched a scoreless inning of relief for the save. 

Madison 3, Green Bay 1

The Mallards won their sixth straight, 3-1 over Green Bay, to stay in first in the South division with a 9-3 record. Madison was boosted by Pete Alonso (Florida), who went 2-4 with a pair of runs in support of starter Rob McDonnell (Illinois). McDonnell picked up the win with 5.2 innings of shutout ball while striking out five and giving up just one hit. Tim Black (Central Michigan) picked up his third save in as many chances as he had a perfect inning.

Eau Claire 4, Mankao 1

The Express moved into a three way tie for second place in the North division with a 4-1 win over the MoonDogs. Eau Claire only needed two pitchers- Jordan Ruckman (Northern Illinois) went six shutout innings of seven strikeout ball to earn the win and Austin Stroschein picked up a three inning save. Tyler Hermann (UW-Milwaukee) went 2-3 with a home run, two runs and a RBI for the Express.

St. Cloud 4, Thunder Bay 3

The Rox won their third straight to stay in sole possession of first place in the North as player of the night Chris Paul (Cal-Berkeley) went 2-3 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs. After starter Josh Taylor (Georgia Col) gave up three runs over 5.1 innings in the no-desicion, Dalton Sawyer (Minnesota) and Kevin Burgee (Georgia St) teamed up to shutout the BorderCats, with the Burgee getting the win. The Rox scored in the bottom of the eighth to win.

Duluth 7, Rochester 2

The Huskies earned a series split with the Honkers as they jumped out to a 3-0 lead and never looked back in a 7-2 win. Pitcher of the night Alex Winkelman (Southeast Missouri) was dominant as he struck out 11 to get the win and let in just one run- not earned- over six innings. Vinnie Rodriquez (Montevallo) hit a home run for the Huskies on a 2-4, two RBI night. 

Lakeshore 4, Wisconsin Rapids 2

The Chinooks won their ninth game of their last ten after overcoming a Rafters comeback to win, 4-2. Michael Morman (Valparaiso) had a two-RBI double in the third to support reliever Connor Jones (Georgia). Jones earned the win with three one run innings- a run that wasn't earned- while striking out two. Andrew Elliot (Wright State) picked up his fourth save of the season.

Willmar 8, Alexandria 2

The Stingers used a five-run fifth and never really looked back en route to an 8-2 win over Alexandria. Willmar, one game out of first place, had starter Austin Klein (Lindenwood) go seven innings of two-run ball while striking out seven to get the win. Klein is now 2-0 with a 2.11 ERA this summer. The offense was led by three RBI from Troy Kuhn (Ohio State) as he went 2-4 with a run. 

Waterloo 3, Kalamazoo 2

After the Growlers jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one, the Bucks chipped away and eventually went ahead in the top of the ninth to win, 3-2. David Kerrian hit a RBI double in the ninth off of Donnie Eaton who was handed the loss. J.D. Moore had a shutout inning in relief for the Bucks to take the win. Waterloo's Pat Mackenzie went 2-2 with a walk and a RBI at the top of the lineup for the Bucks. 

Wisconsin 7, Battle Creek 0

Four Woodchuck pitchers combined for a shutout as a four-run first inning was plenty of offense to down Battle Creek, 7-0. Wisconsin starter Matt Lambert got the win after six shuout innings with five strikeouts. The Wisconsin offense was boosted by Paul DeJong, who went 2-3 with two runs, a home run and two RBIs on the day he got drafted by MLB.
