If their is one power hitter that Northwoods League pitchers don't want to be facing right now, it's Wisconsin Woodchucks third basemen Paul DeJong. The NWL Player of the Night, DeJong, a sophomore from Illinois State, hit the cover off the ball in a easy win against Green Bay.
DeJong went 4-4 with six RBIs- his second game this season with 5+ RBIs- and scored twice. He also hit his Northwoods-leading sixth home run of the season in the fifth inning with a three-run homer. He also added a RBI single, a RBI double and drew a bases-loaded walk. DeJong moves into a tie for first place in the league with 20 RBIs.
This is his second player of the night honors.
