The NWL Player of the Night is Mankato third basemen and New Mexico State junior Derek Umphres. Umphres went 2-4 with two runs, a double and a RBI to life the MoonDogs to a 5-2 win over Duluth.
Umphres is hitting .328 over the first 18 games of the season with 12 RBIs and 13 runs with 19 hits.
