St. Cloud's Josh Taylor entered Thursday's matchup against Eau Claire with a ERA over five, but he turned in an excellent performance to pick up the nightly pitcher of the night honor. The Rox blanked the Express, 5-0, behind six shutout innings from Taylor.

He fanned 11 and allowed just two hits while not issuing a walk. Taylor lowered his season ERA to 4.19 in his ninth start of the season and he has an impressive 47 strikeouts in 38 2/3 innings of work. He's had more then five strikeouts in six of his nine starts.
