Wednesday's Player of the Night is Madison catcher Austin Barr, who enjoyed a massive day at the plate against La Crosse over the course of two games. Barr, a sophomore from Stanford, finished with nine RBIs on the day as the Mallards outscored La Crosse 21-5 in a sweep.
Barr went 2-6 with a home run, four RBIs and a pair of runs in the first game behind the plate, a 13-1 Madison rout. He was back in the lineup at DH the second game and drove in five runs and hit his second home run of the day on a 3-4 day with a run and two doubles. His final line of the day was 5-10 with nine RBIs, three doubles, two home runs and three runs scored. Barr raised his season average to .258 and almost doubled his RBI total to 21.
