The Battle Creek Bombers won a slugfest 8-7 against the Kalamazoo Growlers in which both teams recorded double-digit hits. Battle Creek leftfielder Daniel Jipping (Central Michigan) hit 3-for-4 and knocked in four runs and scored three runs of his own to be named the Northwoods League Position Player of the Night. The sophomore from Canton, Michigan connected on a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to cut the Growlers' lead to 6-4.

The Bombers and Growlers will play again tomorrow night at 7:05 at Homer Stryker Field.
