Kalamazoo Growlers' pitcher BJ Butler (Ball State) was named the Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night for the second time in as many starts in 2016. Butler followed up his complete-game shutout victory with another big-time performance in a 9-8 win for Kalamazoo. The righty from Mattawan, Michigan threw seven innings and allowed one unearned run on three hits and no walks with six strikeouts. Butler has yet to allow an earned run in 16 innings over two starts this season.
The Growlers will go for the sweep of Wisconsin tomorrow night at 6:05 at Homer Stryker Field.
