The Madison Mallards took down the St. Cloud Rox 8-5 on Sunday thanks to a three-run blast from first baseman Bryce Carter (Stanford). Carter ripped the three-run shot to break the tie and give the Mallards an 8-5 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. Carter hit 3-for-4 at the plate and knocked in four runs and scored a pair to earn the Northwoods League Player of the Night.
Madison will play the Wisconsin Woodchucks on the road Monday night at 6:35.
