Aaron Winkler (Richmond) earned pitcher of the night after guiding the Chinooks to a 6-1 victory over Kalamazoo in his first start this season. He put a runner on right away with one out in the first, but he managed to get the next two batters out. Winkler got the next six out in-order, but a guy reached on an error and later scored for an unearned run in the fourth. He was able to pitch seven strong innings in total as he only gave up the one unearned run on three hits and one walk while striking out three to pick up his first win.
