Mankato was the first to pick up an extra inning win when they got an RBI double to defeat Willmar in the 10th. Fond du Lac then did it to Green Bay in a scoreless game until they connected on an RBI single to win it in the 11th.

 

 

Rochester 11, Thunder Bay 4

The Rochester Honkers used the middles innings to power ahead over the Thunder Bay Border Cats and win the game 11-4. Rochester got one in the third from an RBI single. The Honkers went up four in the fourth which was produced on a two-run double by Ryan Casper (Point Loma Nazarene). Gunner Hellstrom (Nebraska) hit a two-run double of his own in the bottom half to put Thunder Bay on the board. The Honkers put up four in the fifth, but the Cats got one in the sixth. Casper delivered again in the seventh as two came home from a single and an error. Thunder Bay added one more in the eighth, Rochester got number 11 in the ninth while the side was retired in the bottom half.

Bismarck 6, La Crosse 9

The La Crosse Loggers used a big third inning to take the lead and defeat the Bismarck Larks 9-6. Bismarck got three in the first which came from back-to-back home runs by Kyle Stevens (Murray State) and Chase Coker (Arkansas Little Rock). The Loggers managed two in the bottom half and then went off in the third. They got five which two came from an RBI single and three went home on a dinger by Shane McGuire (San Diego). La Crosse got two in the fifth, but the Larks responded with one which came from Matthew Warkentin (Xavier) leading off the sixth with a dinger. La Crosse got the run back in the bottom half, but the Larks got a pair in the next inning. The Loggers turned to their bullpen for the final three and they secured the win.
Willmar 3, Mankato 4 (10 Innings)

The Mankato MoonDogs walked it off in the bottom of the 10th inning to defeat the Willmar Stingers 4-3. The MoonDogs got a pair in the bottom of the first which was powered by an RBI single from Andrew Morales (Angelo State). Willmar got on the board in the third from Caleb Ricca (Northwestern State) knocking in a run from a single. Mankato then got one in the sixth and tied it up in the ninth from an RBI double by Jaxon Hallmark (Nebraska) to force extra innings. Then in the bottom of the 10th with one on and nobody out, Jake Shepksi (Xavier) doubled in the game-winning run.

Kenosha 3, Wisconsin Rapids 4

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters used a big eighth inning to take the lead and defeat the Kenosha kingfish 4-3. Kenosha took the lead with two in the fifth. Their starter Cale Cuddie (UWSP) went five, gave up just one hit and four walks while striking out three. Rapids got on the board in the sixth when Mitch Mallek (St. Cloud State) hit an RBI single. The Rafters then tied it and took the lead in the eighth on an RBI single and two RBI doubles as Mallek drove in his second and scored. The Kingfish scored once in the top of the ninth, but the side was retired to end things.

Kalamazoo 5, Lakeshore 1

The Kalamazoo Growlers prevented a rally from the Lakeshore Chinooks in the bottom of the ninth to win the game 5-1. The Growlers got three runs in the fourth which was powered by Jonathan Foster (Florida State) going deep and driving in two. Two more were scored in the seventh as Kalamazoo took a five-run lead into the ninth. Andrew Belcik (Notre Dame) got the start for the Growlers, threw five, gave up just three hits and two walks while striking out five. Tommy Sommer (Indiana) threw two scoreless in relief. The Chinooks got one in the ninth from a double by Dallas Beaver (UCF), but the next two batters went down to end the game.

Green Bay 0, Fond du Lac 1 (11 Innings)

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders finally put up a run in the bottom of the 11th inning and won the game 1-0. The Pitchers dominated all game. Colby Morris (Middlebury) threw seven innings for the Frogs, gave up just five hits and two walks while striking out one. Jack Collins (Central Michigan) started for Fondy and threw just two. Sam Hubbe (Butler) threw the next 6.2, allowed just five hits and two walks while striking out three. Finally Probst Ben (Iowa) threw the final 2.1 and allowed just one hit. With two on and two out in the bottom of the 11th, Duncan Hewitt (Butler) delivered an RBI walk-off single for the Spiders.

Rockford 4, Wisconsin 7

The Wisconsin Woodchucks managed three two-run innings which was enough to go on and defeat the Rockford Rivets 7-4. The two teams traded runs in the second as Jacob Vander Wal (Central Arizona) drove in a run for the Rivets and Isaac Quinones (Miami) hit an RBI single for the Chucks. Wisconsin got two in the third from a home run by Javier Valdes (FIU) and then two more came in the sixth. Rockford managed three in the seventh, but Domenic DeRenzo (Oklahoma) homered in two in the seventh for the Chucks. Wisconsin used three pitchers to end the game which was concluded by Lennon Gwizdala (Northwood) striking out the side for his fifth save of the season.
St. Cloud 15, Waterloo 7

There was a lot of offense when the St. Cloud Rox defeated the Waterloo Bucks 15-7. Both teams scored twice in the opening inning. Bobby Seymour (Wake Forest) was one of the many Rox to knock in two RBI and he picked up his first from a single. Jeff Deimling (New Mexico) managed one of the two for Waterloo in the bottom half from an RBI single. Two Bucks errors scored two out of three for the Rox in the second. The Bucks got one in the third, but St. Cloud knocked in four in the fourth. They added three more in the fifth to go up nine. The ninth inning showed more excitement. Seymour started a three-run ninth with an RBI single. Waterloo got four in the bottom half as Brendan Hueth (St. Josephs) drove in half from a double, but the side was barely retired to end the crazy, wild game.

Duluth 10, Eau Claire 5

The Duluth Huskies used two four-run innings to power through the Eau Claire Express and win the game 10-5. Duluth got four in the first which was powered from a three-run shot by John Lagattuta (UC Berkeley). The Huskies got another four in the third which was then produced from three bases loaded walks and an error. Eau Claire got on the board in the fifth, but the Huskies scored number nine in the sixth. The Express managed three more in the bottom half to keep pace, and then got one in the seventh from an error. Kyle Jacobson (South Carolina) hit a solo shot in the top of the ninth and the side was retired in the bottom half to end the game.

Madison 8, Battle Creek 11

The Battle Creek Bombers used a big second inning to power ahead and defeat the Madison Mallard 11-8. The Bombers got five in the second which was surged by two two-run doubles by Jalen Thomas (Madonna) and Sam Kippen (Olivet Nazarene). The Mallards put up two in the third from RBI singles by Drew Campbell (Louisville) and Jake Randa (NW Florida State). Battle Creek got one in the bottom half and then another from Kippen in the fourth. Randa delivered two more in the fifth for Madison, but Battle Creek got one in the fifth. The Bombers got another pair in the seventh, the teams traded runs in the eighth with Madison getting two in the ninth, but the side was retired to finish the game.
