Mankato stays hot and defeats La Crosse for its sixth straight win. The MoonDogs and Willmar Stingers sit one game back from Duluth in the second half standings. Kenosha took advantage of a four-game winning streak as they sit two games ahead of four teams in the South.

 

Willmar 3, Rochester 11

The Rochester Honkers used two big innings to build a lead and defeat the Willmar Stingers 11-3. Rochester got two in the opening inning on a two-run double by Michael Michalak (Illinois). The Stingers got a run in the second, but Rochester got five runs in the bottom half on a two-run triple by Nate Webb (UC Riverside) and a two-run dinger by Matt Hardy (UC Riverside). Rochester got four more in the seventh on an error and double by Alex McGarry (Oregon State). The Stingers got a pair in the eighth from an error, but Webb came in as the pitcher and took care of the ninth in-order.
Green Bay 6, Battle Creek 7

The Battle Creek Bombers took the lead in the eighth and defeated the Green Bay Bullfrogs 7-6. The Frogs got a pair in the opening inning from two errors. The Bombers took the lead in the bottom half as Riley Tirotta (Dayton) knocked in two from a double. The Frogs got another in the second on a wild pitch, but Battle Creek got it back in the fifth. Green Bay took the lead with three in the seventh as Preston Pavlica (Grand Canyon) hit a two-run double. The Bombers then retook the lead for good on a two-RBI single by Drake Osborn (Texas A&M-CC) for the eventual game-winner.

Eau Claire 0, Bismarck 0 (6 Innings)

The Bismarck Larks held the Eau Claire Express hitless in a game that was called due to rain which ended scoreless. Matt Butler (St. Cloud State) threw six no-hit innings and allowed four walks while striking out seven. Justin Slaten (New Mexico) threw four innings, allowed just three hits and one walk while striking out four, but no one scored and the game will not be resumed.

St. Cloud 13, Thunder Bay 11

The St. Cloud Rox battled all game and defeated the Thunder Bay Border Cats 13-11. They traded runs in the second as Jack Barrie (NW Ohio) led off the frame for the Rox with a homer. Barrie hit another in the fourth for two runs which later went on to be five. The Border Bats got another in the bottom half, but then both got two in the fifth as the Cats got one from an RBI single by Kyle Czaplak (CSU-Monterey Bay). They each got four again in the sixth and this time Barrie hit a grand slam. St. Cloud got one and Thunder Bay got three in the seventh as Czaplak knocked in two more. Erik Martinez (Cal) then came on for the ninth and converted his third save.

Lakeshore 5, Wisconsin 4

The Lakeshore Chinooks took the lead in the ninth and defeated the Wisconsin Woodchucks 5-4. The Woodchucks scored first with two in the third when Zach DeLoach (Texas A&M) hit a double. The Chinooks got on the board with three in the fifth on a wild pitch and two from a double by Christian Boulware (Panola). Wisconsin scored twice more in the bottom half, but Lakeshore tied it in the seventh. Dallas Beaver (UCF) then gave the Chinooks the lead with a go-ahead solo shot in the top of the ninth for the eventual game-winner.

Waterloo 4, Duluth 6

The Duluth Huskies took the lead in the seventh and defeated the Waterloo Bucks 6-4. The Bucks got three in the third on an RBI double by Myles Emmerson (Cal Poly), hit by pitch and walk with the bases loaded. Emmerson then led off the fifth with a dinger and then Duluth put up two in the bottom half as General McArthur (Missouri Baptist) knocked in one from a triple. The Huskies then tied it, took the lead and tacked on insurance runs in the seventh. There was an error and an RBI double by Michael McCann (Texas) and Tony Monroy (Georgetown) hitting an RBI single for the eventual game-winner.

Rockford 5, Wisconsin Rapids 6 (10 Innings)

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters walked it off and defeated the Rockford Rivets 6-5. The Rivets scored first on a home run by Ryan Cole (Notre Dame). Bret Fehr (SIUE) gave Rapids the lead on a grand slam and they tacked on another form an RBI single. Rockford scored once in the fourth, two in the fifth including an RBI double by Cade Bunnell (Indiana) and then a base hit from Parker Kelly (Texas Tech). They tied it in the sixth on an RBI single. Then in the 10th inning, Matt Schmidt (Michigan) hit a single with the bases loaded and won the game for Rapids.

Kalamazoo 3, Madison 6

The Madison Mallards scored all its runs in the third and defeated the Kalamazoo Growlers 6-3. Kalamazoo got three in the second on a bases loaded walk and a two-RBI single by Donovan Clark (Huntington). Madison got six in the third. Jake Randa (NW Florida State) knocked in two from a single and then another came around on an error. Justice Bigbie (Western Carolina) then hit a two-RBI single later on. Alex Reyes (New Mexico State) threw 2.2 scoreless for the win, Nicholes Morales (San Jose State) threw three and struck out five while Leon Hunter (NCA&T) picked up his second save.

Fond du Lac 2, Kenosha 7

The Kenosha Kingfish scored six in the sixth and defeated the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 7-2. Both teams got runs in the third as Mitch Boe (Iowa) knocked in one from a single for the Spiders. Kenosha then went off for six in the sixth. There were three error committed and two runs scored when Evan McDonald (Farleigh Dickinson) hit a double. Zac Taylor (Illinois) led off the eighth with a dinger for Fondy, but the side was retired in the final two innings to end the game.

La Crosse 2, Mankato 3

The Mankato MoonDogs walked it off in the bottom of the ninth and defeated the La Crosse Loggers 3-2. The Loggers got two in the fifth which was started with Braiden Ward (Washington) hitting a solo shot. Garrett Mitchell (UCLA) put one up for Mankato in the sixth on an RBI single. CJ Huntley (Indiana State) then tied it from a sac fly and Kenton Crews (Evansville) hit an RBI single later in the inning to give the Dogs the win.
