The Traverse City Pit Spitters started the beautiful afternoon off defeating and shutting out the Battle Creek Bombers 4-0 improving their season record (4-2). The Kalamazoo Growlers and Kenosha Kingfish played in a double header today with the Growlers taking both games for the win. The Bismarck Larks take their fifth win of the season against the St. Cloud Rox, making the Larks undefeated. 

Battle Creek Bombers 0, Traverse City Pit Spitters 4

The Traverse City Pit Spitters defeated the Battle Creek Bombers during a shut out game 4-0 this afternoon. The Spitters scored two runs during the second inning and continued the momentum through the third and fourth innings scoring one run each. Jake Arnold (North Georgia) hit a triple, an RBI, and two hits for the Spitters. The winning pitcher of the game was Chad Patrick (Purdue Northwest) pitching seven innings with one hit, zero runs, and three strike outs. While the Bombers losing pitcher Ty Shoaff (Notre Dame College) with five strike outs, three runs, two hits, and four walks during three innings of work. 

Mankato MoonDogs 11 , Thunder Bay Border Cats 8

The Mankato MoonDogs start the first inning strong against the Thunder Bay Border Cats scoring four runs and another four runs during the fourth inning. The MoonDogs took control of the Border Cats and defeated them with a strong win 11-8. Mason Crews (Kansas State) hit one home run, a double, four RBIs, and one run during the game for the MoonDogs. Both Anthony Galati (Sacramento City College) and Karsten Vasquez (Sacramento City College) contributed two RBIs for the Cats. The winning pitcher was Mankato’s Jacob Nagel (Bellarmine) pitching six innings   with four strike outs, giving up nine hits, four runs, and two walks. Alex Dorethy (Western Illinois) came in for the save for one inning striking out two and giving up zero runs or hits at the plate. While the losing pitcher was Austin Breazeale (Gateway CC (AZ)) giving up two hits, seven runs, and three walks during his three inning period. 

Kalamazoo Growlers 4, Kenosha Kingfish 3 (Game #1) 

The Kalamazoo Growlers beat the Kenosha Kingfish during a close game 4-3. It was a close game for most of the game but the Growlers pulled through during the sixth inning scoring one run. Hunter Thorn (Purdue Northwest) had two RBIs and one hit for Kalamazoo. The losing pitcher was from Kenosha, Caleb Larson (University of Illinois), pitching one inning with two hits, three runs, and two strike outs. For the Kalamazoo Growlers the winning pitcher was Will Mullen (Western Michigan University) giving up zero hits, zero runs, and three strike outs during his two innings at work. Max Bain (Northwood University) saved the game in the last inning giving up two hits, one run, and four strike outs. 

Kalamazoo Growlers 7, Kenosha Kingfish 4 (Game #2) 

The Kalamazoo Growlers defeat the Kenosha Kingfish again during their double header ending the seven inning game 7-4. The Growlers took charge over the Kingfish in the second inning scoring six runs. Both Growlers Shea Kramer (University of Utah) and Michael Sears (Sinclair Community College) had two RBIs each. The winning pitcher of the game was Alexandra Nolan (Brock University) pitched five innings giving up seven hits, two runs, and four strike outs for Kalamazoo. The losing pitcher for the Kingfish was Nate Seprosky (University of Rhode Island) had zero strike outs, three hits, and six runs during his two pitching period. 

Lakeshore Chinooks 2, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 5 

The Lakeshore Chinooks took the loss against the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders during today’s game with a final score 5-2. The Spiders had a consistent number of runs during the first five innings scoring one run in the second, third, and fifth inning. Fond du Lac Dock’s Cherokee LeBeau (Oakland) had two RBIs, two hits, and one strike out for the win. The Chinooks Jake Thompson (Kentucky) and Easton Bertrand (Minnesota) both scored an RBI and hit a double. The winning pitcher for the Spiders was Houston Glad (Texas Wesleyan) pitching seven innings, giving up eight hits, two runs, and four strike outs. Parker Johnson (Indiana Wesleyan) came in for the save during two innings with one hit, zero runs, and three strike outs. While the losing pitcher was Randon Dauman (Triton CC) pitching three innings giving up six hits, two runs, and one strike out.  

Waterloo Bucks 5, Rochester Honkers 8

The Rochester Honkers defeated the Waterloo Bucks with an ending score of 8-5. The Honkers were behind until the sixth inning when the team pulled it together and scored a total of five runs to push them ahead of the Bucks. Rochester’s Aaron Simmons (UW-Stevens Point) hit one home run, two RBIs, and had two runs. While the Waterloo Bucks Dylan Phillips (Kansas State) scored another home run, three RBIs, and one hit during his time at the plate. The winning pitcher of the game was Evan Layne (Lake Erie College) pitching two innings with zero hits, zero runs, and two strike outs. Keon Taylor (Georgetown College) swooped in for the save with zero hits, zero runs, and five strike outs. The Buck’s losing pitcher was Jack Parisi (Spalding) pitching one inning giving up five hits, five runs, and one strike out.  

Madison Mallards 4, Wisconsin Woodchucks 3

The Madison Mallards conquered the Wisconsin Woodchucks by one run during tonights game with a final score 4-3. Madison started off the second inning scoring two runs during the second inning to take the lead. This game was definitely  a battle but the Mallards came together as a team in the ninth inning scoring the winning run.  Wisconsin’s Adam Frank (FDU) scored a home run, two RBIs, and had four hits against the Mallards. Drew Williams (San Jose State) brought a double hit and two RBIs for the Madison Mallards. Blake Cisneros (Southeastern Missouri State) was the winning pitcher for tonights game pitching two innings and giving up two hits and striking out one. The saving pitcher was Theo Denlinger (Bradley) striking out one with zero runs or hits for the Mallards. Lastly, the losing pitcher was Maddux Solomon (Seminole State College) with two hits, one run, and zero strike out for the Woodchucks. 

Eau Claire Express 5, Duluth Huskies 11

The Duluth Huskies had a great comeback from last nights lose crushing and defeating the Eau Claire Express 11-5 during tonights game. Eau Claire came out swinging during the second inning scoring four runs but the Huskies took over after the fourth inning with three runs. The Huskies Danny Zimmerman (Michigan) had one RBI and three runs. The winning pitcher was Dane Morrow (Pepperdine) pitching for six innings giving up six hits, five runs, and striking out six. The losing pitcher was Eau Claire Express’ Graham Laubscher (St. Thomas) also pitching six innings with six runs, seven hits, and six strike outs. 

Rockford Rivets 5, Kokomo Jackrabbits 6 

The Kokomo Jackrabbits beat the Rockford Rivets 6-5 coming back in the ninth inning scoring two run for the win. Kokomo’s Ryan Layne (Morehead State) hit both a double and triple. Aaron Mann (Drury) has two RBIs and three hits for the Rivets. The winning pitcher of the night was Ryan Boyer (Pitt-Bradford) giving up two hits, zero runs, and one strike out during his one inning period. While the losing pitcher was Rockford’s Kyle Seebach (Northern Illinois) pitching one inning with two hits, two runs, two walks, and two strike outs. 

Bismarck Larks 16, St.Cloud Rox 5

The Bismarck Larks continue their undefeated season winning their fifth game against the St. Cloud Rox’s with a final score 16-5. The Larks scored 14 runs in the first four innings bridging the game between the Rox’s and never letting them catch up. Bismarck’s Brian Leonhardt (San Diego State) hit two doubles, four RBIs, and had three hits during the game. The St. Cloud Jordan Barth (Augustana University) hit a home run and a double. The losing pitcher was Trae Robertson (Missouri) pitching one inning giving up six runs, two hits, and one strike out. The winning pitcher from the Bismarck Larks was John Howard pitching seven innings giving away eleven hits, four runs, and five strike outs. 

Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 0, Green Bay Booyah 7

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters shut out the Green Bay Booyah with a final score 7-0. Green Bay never let the Rafters get on the score board scoring three runs in the second inning and four in the sixth. Zack Raabe (Minnesota) had three RBIs, two runs, and zero strike outs for the Green Bay Booyah. Also Chase Hanson (UNLV), Justing Greene (Louisiana Lafayette),Ty Herrenbruck (Pittsburg State), and Jacob Godman (UNLV) all received an RBI for the Booyah. The winning pitcher of the game was Jaret Godman (Oklahoma) pitching six innings total with three hits, zero runs, two walks, and seven strike outs for Green Bay. While Wisconsin Rafters losing pitcher was Nathan Hammering (Lakeland) giving up five hits, three runs, and two strike outs within four innings. 

Willmar Stingers 9, La Crosse Loggers 13

The La Crosse Loggers defeated the Willmar Stingers 13-9. This game was the Stingers first loss of the season. Willmar Stinger’s Andrew Lucas (CSU-Northridge) had three RBIs, a double, and one strike out of the night. While Loggers Tony Bullard (Arizona) hit two RBIs and a double. The winning pitcher was Nick Eaton (Butler) pitching three innings giving up one hit, zero runs, and two strike outs. Willmar’s losing pitcher Jake Marsh (Bethel) threw one hit, four runs, three walks, and zero strike outs during his time at the pitchers mound.
