The Traverse City Pit Spitters and Kenosha Kingfish started Day 10 off with a strong win from the Pit Spitters of 7-1. Traverse City will improve their record to 5-6. The Lakeshore Chinooks and the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters split their two series of yesterday and todays games. The Chinooks came out on top today with a final score 3-2, defeating the Rafters. The Madison Mallards improve their season record 10-1 tonight was a win against the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders with an outstanding performance by Justice Bigbie (Western Carolina).
Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 2, Lakeshore Chinooks 3
The Lakeshore Chinooks win in a close game against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters with a final score of 3-2. This was a redemption win after losing to the Rafters last night in their two game series. Rafters Rich Ciufo (Brown) hit one home run along with one RBI, one run, and one hit. Cameron Hart (Lansing CC) hit one double and one RBI for the Chinooks during tonights nail bitting game. The winning pitcher was Lakeshore’s Aaron Ras (Wayne State College) with one hit, zero runs, and three strike outs. Will Klein (Eastern Illinois) came in for the save for the last inning having one hit, zero runs, zero walks, and one strike out. For Wisconsin Chris Sparks (Otterbein) was the losing pitcher of the game giving up one hit, one run, one walk, and one strike out.
Wisconsin Woodchucks 0, Green Bay Booyah 9
The Wisconsin Woodchucks were shut out by the Green Bay Booyah 9-0 during tonights game. In the bottom of the fourth inning, Green Bay took control of the game scoring four runs and continuing the momentum throughout the fifth and sixth innings scoring another five runs total. Justin Greene (Louisiana Lafyette) hit one home run, two RBIs, and three runs for the Booyah. Another great performance came from Blaise Maris (Florida Tech) hitting one double and two RBIs tonight. The losing pitcher was Beau Nichols from the Woodchucks, pitching four innings with four hits, four runs, one walk, and six strike outs. While the winning pitcher Chris Jefferson (New Mexico State) with two hits, zero runs, four walks, and three strike outs.
Kalamazoo Growlers 4, Rockford Rivets 2
The Kalamazoo Growlers defeated the Rockford Rivets in a low score and close game 4-2. Growlers Clay Owens (USC), Dakota Kotowski (Missouri State University), and Anthony Cocco (Grand Valley State University) had one RBI during tonights game. While Rivets Jeff Heinrich (South Carolina) hit one double and one RBI. The losing pitcher was Kasey Ford (Kansas State) giving up nine hits, four runs, one walk, and six strike outs for the Rockford Rivets. While the winning pitcher of the game was Alex McCutcheon (Huntington University) with two hits, zero runs, two walks, and one strike out. In the last inning, Will Mullen (Western Michigan University) swooping in for the save with zero hits, zero runs, and one strike out.
Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 7, Madison Mallards 10
The Madison Mallards finally get their first win in a few days against the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders with a final score of 10-7. The Mallards really put it into high gear during the eighth and ninth innings scoring three runs in each for the win. Justice Bigbie (Western Carolina) hit two home runs, four RBIs, and hit a triple for Madison. Drew Benefield (Louisville) also contributed a home run and two RBIs during tonights game. For the Spiders, Zeb Adreon (Iowa) hit one home run and two RBIs. The winning pitcher was Theo Denlinger (Bradley) with zero hits, zero runs, one walk, and one strike out. While the Spiders losing pitcher was Sam Grace (Southern Illinois University) with zero runs, zero hits, and zero strike outs.
Kenosha Kingfish 1, Traverse City Pit Spitters 7
The Traverse City Pit Spitters crushed the Kenosha Kingfish 7-1. The Pit Spitters took control during the second inning scored four runs to take the lead and continue with it for the rest of the game. Spitters Mario Camilletti (Oakland University) had three RBIs, two hits, and one run. For Kenosha Matt Padre (Manhattan College) received one RBI during tonights game. The winning pitcher was Andrew Hoffman (Oakland University) pitching a strong six innings with three hits, one run, zero walks, and two strike outs. While, the losing pitcher was Nate Seprosky (University of Rhode Island) gave up six hits, seven runs, five walks, and three strike outs during his three inning time at the pitcher mound.
Bismarck Larks 2, La Crosse Loggers 6
The La Crosse Loggers defeated the Bismarck Larks 6-2 with the Loggers consistent scoring throughout tonights game. TJ Byrd (Young Harris) and Tony Bullard (Arizona) hit one home run each for the Loggers. Byrd also contributed three RBIs, two runs, and three hits. For the Larks, Zack Gregory (Arkansas) had one RBI and also hit one double. The winning pitcher of the night was La Crosse Loggers Mason McMahon (UW La Crosse) pitching six innings giving up three hits, two runs, three walks, and eight strike outs. While Bismarck Larks losing pitcher was Gavin Rogers (University of West Alabama) also pitching six inning with nine hits, five runs, two walks, and three strike outs.
Willmar Stingers 8, Duluth Huskies 5
The Duluth Huskies tried to catch up to the Willmar Stingers during tonights game but it wasn’t enough with their two run ninth inning to beat the Stingers. The final score was 8-5. Stingers Daniel Walsh (Sacramento City) has two RBIs, two hits, and two walks. Sam Baier (Augustana University) hit a triple along with one RBI. For the Huskies Nic Kent (Virginia) received two RBIs, three hits, and one run. The losing pitcher was Troy Newell (Western Kentucky) pitching five innings with four hits, three runs, four walks, and four strike outs. While the winning pitcher of the game was Tyler Bosma (Miami (OH)) giving up four hits, two runs, two walks, and seven strike outs. During the last two innings, John Bezdicek (Southwest Minnesota State) was the saving pitcher of the game with one hit, two runs, one walk, and two strike outs.
Waterloo Bucks 1, Eau Claire Express 5
Eau Claire Express win agains the Waterloo Bucks tonight with an ending score 5-1. Eau Claire took over the lead in the bottom of the fifth scoring four runs. Phillip Sikes (Pima CC) and Boone Montgomery (UT- Arlington) scored each one home run for the Express. Sikes also had two RBIs, three hits, and one run during his time at the batting plate. Waterloo’s Matt Campos (Hawaii) received one RBI, one hit, and one strike out. The winning pitcher from the Eau Claire Express was Alec Baker (Dallas Baptist) pitching five innings total with one hit, zero runs, one walk, and four strike outs. While Jack Parkinson (Rutgers) was the losing pitcher for the Waterloo Bucks giving up seven hits, five runs, three walks, and five strike outs during his four inning of work.
Thunder Bay Border Cats 2, Mankato MoonDogs 4
The Mankato MoonDogs beat the Thunder Bay Border Cats 4-2 during tonights game. In the first four innings, the Cats were in the lead but the MoonDogs came together and scored two runs during the bottom of the fifth and seventh innings to capture the games win. Mankato’s Sky-lar Culver (Arkansas State) hit one double in the third and had two RBIs. The winning pitcher of the game was Tyler Lesley (Angelo State) pitching a strong eight innings with five hits, two runs, two walks, and five strike outs. In the last inning, Hayden Juenger (Missouri State) came in for the save who had zero hits, zero runs, one walk, and two strike outs. While, the losing pitcher was Austin Eggleston (Friends University (KS)) giving up three hits, two runs, one walk, and three strike outs.
Rochester Honkers 4, St. Cloud Rox 1
The St. Cloud Rox lost against the Rochester Honkers 4-1 tonight. In the top of the sixth inning the Honkers scored three runs taking control of the score and the lead. Honkers Jack Thelen (UW-Milwaukee) scored a home run and two RBIs. Trace Peterson (Lake Erie College) hit a triple and earned one RBI. The winning pitcher of the night was Evan Layne (Lake Erie College) pitching three inning with two hits, zero runs, zero walks, and five strike outs. While, Marty Tolson Jr. (Maryland- Eastern Shore) came in for the save during the last inning with one hit, one walk, and one strike out for the Rochester Honkers. Lastly, Taylor Lepard (USC Upstate) was the losing pitcher of the St. Cloud Rox with one hit, two runs, one walk, and one strike out.
Kokomo Jackrabbits 7, Battle Creek Bombers 4
The Kokomo Jackrabbits came out with a bang to take the win against the Battle Creek Bombers with a final score of 7-4. In the top of the third inning the Jackrabbits scored four runs to gain the lead but the Bombers fought hard during the ninth inning scoring two runs. But the Bombers missed the win by three runs. Battle Creek’s Kelby Weyler (Lamar) had two RBIs and two hits during tonights game. For the Jackrabbits, both Ben Livorsi (St. Louis) and Denzel Clarke (CSU-Northridge) received two RBIs each along with hitting one double. The winning pitcher of the game was Aaron Husson (UMBC) with two hits, zero runs, one walk, and two strike outs. Ryan Boyer (Pitt-Bradford) swooped in for the save in the last inning with one hit, zero runs, zero walks, and zero strike outs for Kokomo. While, Calvin Starnes (Northwest Florida State) was the losing pitcher of the Battle Creek Bombers pitching two innings giving up two hits, four runs, four walks, and four strike outs.
