The St. Cloud Rox and the Thunder Bay Border Cats started off the night with the Rox coming out on top. The final score was a close 3-1. The Kokomo Jackrabbits dominated the Madison Mallard 10-5. Timko (Eastern Michigan) hit one home run and four RBI to help assist with the win for the Jackrabbits.
Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 4, Green Bay Booyah 5
The Green Bay Booyah pulled through for the win over the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders. The final score was a nail-bitting 5-4. The Booyah had five runs and ten hits during tonights game. Fond du Lac’s Aaron Anderson (Flagler) received one home run and two RBI. The winning pitcher of the game was Tommy Miller (Siena University) pitching six innings giving up two runs and four strike outs. Green Bay’s Tanner Lane (Pittsburg Sate) for the last two innings. The Spiders losing pitcher was Aaron Ball Jr. (Kankakee CC).
Rochester Honkers 11, Waterloo Bucks 3
The Rochester Honkers dominated offensively beating the Waterloo Bucks. The ending game score was a strong 11-3. The Honkers had an impressive last three innings scoring two runs throughout each inning. Waterloo’s Patrick Ferguson (Kent Sate) hit one double and two RBI. For Rochester, Nathan Webb (California-Riverside) received a double and two RBI. The winning pitcher was Mitchell Allen (New Mexico State University) who pitched three innings with no runs, three hits, and two strike outs. The losing pitcher was Waterloo’s Peyton Fuller (Oregon).
Willmar Stingers 0, Duluth Huskies 1
The Duluth Huskies shut out the Willmar Stingers with a close win 1-0. The Huskies had a total of one run and nine hits throughout the game. Max Guzman (Faulker University) had one double and one RBI from Duluth. The winning pitcher was Ricky Reynoso (University of the Pacific) who pitched six innings giving up no runs, five hits, and six strike outs. Tim Holdgrafer (Cal Poly Ponoma) was the saving pitcher of the game pitching three innings with no runs and two hits. Willmar’s Jack Zigan (Minnesota State-Mankato) was the losing pitcher with one run, nine hits, and four strike outs during his seven innings at the mound.
Rockford Rivets 4, Kenosha Kingfish 5
The Kenosha Kingfish pulled through and won over their game against the Rockford Rivets today. The final score was a close 5-4. The Kingfish rallied for the win in the bottom of the ninth inning scoring one run. Kenosha’s Brendan Hueth (Saint Josephs University) hit one double and one RBI. For the Rivets, Matt Higgins (Bellarmine) had one RBI and two doubles during the game. Colton Gordon (University of Central Florida) was the winning pitcher who pitched three innings giving up one run, two hits, and seven strike outs. The losing pitcher was Rockford’s Hunter Keim (Quincy).
Eau Claire Express 7, La Crosse Loggers 1
The Eau Claire Express rallied and crushed the La Crosse Loggers as a team during tonights game. The Express had a total of seven runs and fifteen hits throughout the game. Loggers Ryan Holgate (Arizona) hit one home run and one RBI. Eau Claire’s Spencer Myers (Notre Dame) and Nick Lopez (Illinois-Chicago) both received two RBI. The winning pitcher was Express’ Colt Mink (Flagler) who pitched a solid seven inning giving up one run, four hits, and six strike outs. La Crosse losing pitcher was Nick Eaton (Butler).
Lakeshore Chinooks 4, Traverse City Pit Spitters 8
The Traverse City Pit Spitters dominated with a win over the Lakeshore Chinooks with a ending game score 8-4. The Pit Spitters hit three runs in the bottom of the sixth to capture the win against the Chinooks. Lakeshore’s Jake Thompson (Kentucky) hit two doubles and one RBI. Traverse Cities Andrew Morrow (Michigan State) received one double along with three RBI. The Kokomo Jackrabbits crushed the Madison Mallards with an ending score 10-5. The Jackrabbits rallied in the bottom of the fourth scoring four runs to take the lead. Wisconsin Woodchucks 0, Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 7
The Wisconsin Woodchucks were shut out by the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters with a solid 7-0 ending game score. The Rafters captured the win in the bottom of the seventh inning scoring four runs. Jake Dunham (Northern Illinois) hit one double along with four RBI for Wisconsin Rapids. The winning pitcher was Rafters Nate Barnes (Mount Mercy) with a strong eight innings giving up no runs, three hits, and five strike outs. The Battle Creek Bombers won against the Kalamazoo Growlers with a final score 11-9. The Bombers hit consistent runs throughout the game scoring four runs in the bottom of the second and fifth innings. Growlers Zach Gelof (University of Virginia) who hit one double and three RBI. Bombers Kolby Johnson (Central Arkansas) with three RBU and a triple hit. The winning pitcher was Battle Creek’s Ping-Chun Ho (Barry) and Burrell Jones (Wabash Valley College) swooped in for the save. Kalamazoo’s losing pitcher was DJ Moore (Huntington University) with two runs and no hits during one inning of work.
Mankato MoonDogs, Bismarck Larks
Tonight’s game in Bismarck between the Larks and the MoonDogs has been postponed due to weather. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader tomorrow, July 4, starting at 1:05 in Bismarck. Both games will be seven innings.
