Happy Fourth of July to all! The Rockford Rivets started off the day with a close win over the Kenosha Kingfish. The final score was a nail-bitting 10-9. The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders crushed the Green Bay Booyah with an ending game score 15-2. The Mankato MoonDogs tackled and captured both wins during their doubleheader series between the Bismarck Larks tonight. The final score of game #1 was 11-5 and for game #2 it was a close 5-2.
Kenosha Kingfish 9, Rockford Rivets 10
The Rockford Rivets pulled through with a tight win over the Kenosha Kingfish. The final score was 10-9. The Kingfish rallied in the top of the ninth inning scoring five runs but it was not enough to outscore the Rivets. Andrew Wilhite (Minnesota) hit one triple and three RBI for Rockford. Kenosha’s Luke Stephenson (Xavier University) had two RBI and one double. The winning pitcher was Sultan Solebo (Lewis) and the losing pitcher was Kingfish Tanner Fallon (Loras College).
Green Bay Booyah 2, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 15
The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders dominated the Green Bay Booyah with an ending game score 15-2. The Spiders had an impressive fourth inning scoring six runs to capture the lead and win over Green Bay. Charlie Maxwell (Northwestern) hit one home run and Tate Kolwyck (Vanderbilt) had two home runs for Fond du Lac Dock. Kolwyck hit one triple and five RBI as well. Green Bay’s Joe Mason (Mount Olive) received one double and one RBI. The winning pitcher was Spiders Jon Young (Indiana Wesleyan) who pitched six innings giving up one run, seven hits, and five strike outs. The losing pitcher was Booyah Zach Chappell (North Florida).
Mankato MoonDogs 11, Bismarck Larks 5 (Game #1)
The Mankato MoonDogs defeated the Bismarck Larks in the first game of the teams two game double-header series. The final score was 11-5. The MoonDogs Michael Perez (UCLA) hit one double and Adan Fernandez (FIU) received one RBI and home run.
Mankato MoonDogs 5, Bismarck Larks 2 (Game #2)
The Mankato MoonDogs took their second win over the Bismarck Larks in the teams double header series. The final score was 5-2. Adan Fernandez (FIU) and Tanner Craig (Evansville) each hit one home run and two RBI for the MoonDogs. Bismarck’s Matt Warkentin (Xavier) received a triple and one RBI. The winning pitcher was Mankato’s Connor Campbell (Lander) who pitched three innings giving up one run and three hits in the game. The losing pitcher was Hunter Kloke (Indiana University-Southeast) with five runs and five strike outs during his five innings of work.
Madison Mallards 3, Kokomo Jackrabbits 4
The Kokomo Jackrabbits defeated the Madison Mallards, the ending game score was 4-3. The Jackrabbits had a total of four runs and eleven hits throughout the game. Kokomo’s Chase Hacker (UT-San Antonio) hit two RBI and one hit. Mallards Wade Stauss (Southeastern Missouri) received two RBI. The winning pitcher was Lucas Folmar (Mercyhurst) and Joey Haass (Delaware) swooped in for the save both pitching one inning giving up no hits or runs. The losing pitcher was Madison’s Leon Davidson (NC AT).
Willmar Stingers 0, Duluth Huskies 7
The Duluth Huskies shut out the Willmar Stingers 7-0. The Huskies meant business starting off the second inning strong scoring three runs to bridge the lead between the Stingers. Chase Stanke (Minnesota) hit one double and a triple for the Willmars. Huskies Xavier Bussey (Pensacola State College) received two RBI and two doubles. The winning pitcher was Dane Morrow (Pepperdine) who pitched a strong six innings with no runs, seven hits, and four strike outs. Willmar’s losing pitcher of the game was Trevor Divinski (Minnesota State- Mankato).
Wisconsin Woodchucks 7, Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 14
The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters came out on top over the Wisconsin Woodchucks. The final score was a firecracker 14-7. The Rafters dominated the bottom of the eighth scoring nine runs. Edarian Williams (University of Nevada-Las Vegas) hit one home run along with three RBI for the Rapids Rafters. Another great performance, was by Josh Nicoloff (Columbia) with a double hit and four RBI. The winning pitcher was Rafters Brayden Bonner (Dixie State) who pitched one inning giving up one run and two hits. The losing pitcher was Woodchucks Lenny Gwizdala (Northwoods University).
La Crosse Loggers 11, Eau Claire Express 5
The La Crosse Loggers crushed the Eau Claire Express with an ending game score 11-5. The Loggers hit five runs in the top of the fourth inning to capture the lead over the Express. Tony Bullard (Arizona) and Trey Harris (Arkansas) both hit one home run each and four RBI for La Crosse. Eau Claire’s Brandon Dieter (Stanford) hit one double and two RBI. The winning pitcher was Lalo Porras (Lewis Clark State) who pitched five innings giving up two runs, three hits, and four strike outs. The losing pitcher was Express’ Tanner Kohlhepp (Tennessee).
Battle Creek Bombers 1, Kalamazoo Growlers 13 (Game #1)
The Kalamazoo Growlers beat the Battle Creek Bombers with a impressive 13-1 in their first game of the afternoon. The Growlers had a strong bottom of the third scoring five runs to capture the lead. Clay Owens (USC), Zach Gelof (University of Virginia), and Jimmy Sullivan (University of Virginia) hit one home run each for Kalamazoo. Sullivan also had a solid five RBI. The winning pitcher was Growlers Drew Shultz (Northwoods University) shut out the Bombers pitching seven innings with one run and two hits. The losing pitcher was Battle Creeks Jordan Rhodes (McDaniel).

The Kalamazoo Growlers defeated the Battle Creek Bombers in the teams double header series with a final score 12-7. The Growlers scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth to capture the lead and win the game. Michael Lee (Panola College) and Michael Morrissette (Miami (OH)) hit one home run each. Lee also had two RBI in the game. Clay Owens (USC) received two RBI and one double for the Growlers. The winning pitcher was Eamon Horwedel (Ohio University) who pitched one inning with no runs and one hit. The losing pitcher was Battle Creeks Mitchell Lee (Lamar).

The Rochester Honkers were beat by the Waterloo Bucks with an ending game score 7-3. The Bucks had a total of seven runs and ten hits throughout tonights game. Bennett Hostetler (North Dakota State) hit one double and two RBI for the Bucks. Honkers Tristan Peterson (New Mexico State University) received two doubles and one RBI. The winning pitcher was Brandon Vial (Austin Peay) with no runs and one hit during his three inning time at the mound. The losing pitcher was Landon Anderson (Cal State Fullerton).

The Traverse City Pit Spitters pulled a win through in an eleven inning battle against the Lakeshore Chinooks. The final score was close 5-4. Pit Spitters Andrew Morrow (Michigan State), Jake Wilson (Bowling Green State), and Cam Smith (Northern Illinois) all hit one home run each. Morrow also had two RBI during tonights game. Lakeshore’s Cole Barr (Indiana) received one home run and two RBI. The winning pitcher was Traverse Cities Kevin Hahn (CSU-Stanislaus) with no runs, no hits, and no strike outs during his three innings at the pitchers mound. The St. Cloud Rox defeated the Thunder Bay Border Cats in a close win 3-2. Thunder Bay’s Conor Allard (University of Nevada-Reno) hit one home run and one RBI. Ben Carew (Kent State University) received three doubles during the game. The winning pitcher was St. Cloud’s Trevor Koenig (St. Cloud State) who gave up two runs, four hits, and five strike outs during his eight innings of work. Blake Stelzer (Concordia University-St. Paul) swooped in for the save and the losing pitcher was Border Cats Alex Dafoe (Friends University (KS)).
