The Wisconsin Woodchucks pulled through with a win over the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders tonight. The ending game score was a nail-bitting 6-5. The Traverse City Pit Spitters made history winning their 17th consecutive win in a row over the Kenosha Kingfish setting the longest winning streak ever in league history. The final score was a close 3-2.

The Lakeshore Chinooks dominated the Battle Creek Bombers during tonights game with a final score 12-3. The Chinooks scored consistent runs in the sixth, seventh, and eight innings to capture the win. Cole Barr (Indiana) hit two home runs and four RBI for Lakeshore. Another great performance, was by Nathan Aide (Madison College) who received one home run and two RBI. The winning pitcher was Chinooks’ Troy Black (Faulkner) who pitched a solid four innings with no runs, one hit, and three strike outs. The losing pitcher was Battle Creek’s Pablo Arevalo (Barry).
Willmar Stingers 5, Mankato MoonDogs 2
The Willmar Stingers beat the Mankato MoonDogs with the Stingers bridging the lead between the MoonDogs in the top of the fourth scoring three runs. The final score was a close 5-2. Branden Boissiere (Arizona) had one double and one RBI for Willmar. For the MoonDogs, James Gargano (Butler) hit two double and one RBI. Stingers winning pitcher was Garret Rukes (Alabama) who pitched six innings giving up two runs, six hits, and four strike outs. Aldo Fernandez (New Mexico State) swooped in for the save in the last inning for Willmar. The losing pitcher was Mankato’s Nick Hull (Grand Canyon).
La Crosse Loggers 8, Waterloo Bucks 1
The La Crosse Loggers dominated the Waterloo Bucks with a final score 8-1. The Loggers took control in the fifth and eight inning scoring four runs each to defeat the Bucks. Trey Torain (George Washington) had one home run along with two RBI for La Crosse. Bucks Trey Leonard (Louisville) received one RBI and his teammate Dylan Phillips (Kansas State) hit one double. Tristan Harvin (Birmingham Southern) was the winning pitcher of the game who pitched seven innings with on run and two strike outs. The losing pitcher was Waterloo’s Brandon Vial (Austin Peay).
Duluth Huskies 7, Eau Claire Express 8
The Eau Claire Express beat the Duluth Huskies with a final game score 8-7. The Huskies started off strong in the first inning scoring five runs but it was not enough when the Express scored one run in the bottom of the ninth to capture the win. Max Guzman (Faulkner University) hit one home run along wth two RBI for Duluth. Eau Claire’s Troy Beilsmith (Evansville) received four RBI and one double. The winning pitcher was Express’ Nick Herold (Winona) giving up no runs, one hit, and four strike outs during his two inning time at the mound. The losing pitcher was Ricky Reynoso (University of the Pacific).
Kalamazoo Growlers 8, Rockford Rivets 3
The Kalamazoo Growlers demolished the Rockford Rivets in a solid 8-3 win. The Growlers had eight runs and fourteen hits throughout tonights game. Rivets’ Josh Dudden (Creighton) hit one triple and two RBI. Mike Rodriguez (Texas AM University) had three RBI for the Growlers. Another strong performance was by Rodriguez’s teammate Zack Gelof (UVA) who received one double and one RBI.
Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 5, Wisconsin Woodchucks 6
The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders and Wisconsin Woodchucks battled tonight with the Woodchucks coming out on top with a close score 6-5. Wisconsin pulled through in the bottom of the ninth inning scoring three runs to make the difference and capture the win. Spiders Duncan Hunter (Jacksonville) hit one home run along with three RBI. Another home run was made by Woodchucks Kenny Rodriguez (Seminole State College FL) along with one RBI. The winning pitcher was Wisconsin’s Tom Ambrosino (Adelphi University) with one run and three hits during his two inning of work. The losing pitcher was Fond du Lac’s Maxwell Cioffi (Mississippi).
Thunder Bay Border Cats 2, Rochester Honkers o
The Thunder Bay Border Cats shut out the Rochester Honkers in a close battle ending the game with a score 2-0. The Border Cats had two runs and four hits throughout the game. Alexander Hernandez (Nova Southeastern (FL)) had one home run along with one RBI for Thunder Bay. Honkers’ Zack Zalesky (Oregon State University) and Nathan Webb (California-Riverside) both hit doubles. Tonight’s game in Bismarck between the Larks and the Rox has been postponed due to weather. The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader in Bismarck on July 13. The first game will start at 1:35 and the second game will start at 7:05. Both games will be nine innings.
