There was no shortage of offense in Fond du Lac on Saturday, as the Dock Spiders and Wisconsin Rapids Rafters combined for 24 runs, with the Dock Spiders coming out on top, 13-11. The K-Town Bobbers easily beat the Kenosha Kingfish 15-5 in the Kenosha Series, while the Battle Creek Bombers and Bismarck Larks both picked up doubleheader sweeps on Sunday.

Bismarck Larks 2 Bismarck Bull Moose 0
There wasn’t much offense in Bismarck Saturday afternoon, but the few runs that were scored went to the Larks, as they tiptoed their way to a narrow win over the Bull Moose. Chase Adkison (Boise State) was 1-3 for the Larks, but he drove in both of the runs. Both teams had outstanding pitching performances from their starters. The Bull Moose sent Garrett Reisz (Creighton) to the mound, who threw six innings, allowing two runs on four hits and recording three strikeouts. His counterpart was Ryan Bourassa (Bismarck State College), who also threw six innings, allowing no runs and just one hit while striking out eight batters to pick up his second win of the season. Noah Kandel (Tiffin) threw three relief innings to pick up the save for the Larks.
Bismarck Larks 4 Bismarck Bull Moose 2
The Larks topped the Bull Moose in game two to sweep the doubleheader thanks in part to Myles Harris (Boise State), who was 1-4 at the plate with a double and three RBI. Brant Schaffitzel (Drury) was 2-3 for the Larks, with a run scored. Seth Brewer (Northern State) picked up his second win of the season after throwing five and two-thirds of an inning, allowing two runs on four hits and recording two strikeouts. Blake Gallagher (Minot State) threw one scoreless inning to pick up the save, his second of the season. Tyler Wehrie (Tiffin) got the start for the Bull Moose and threw five full innings, allowing four runs (two earned) on four hits while striking out five batters. Garrett Willis (Central Michigan) came on in relief and threw three scoreless innings with five strikeouts of his own.

Rochester Honkers 8 St. Cloud Rox 6
The Honkers scored five runs in the eighth to top the Rox Saturday night, thanks in part to Bryce Matthews (Arkansas), who was 1-4, with his one hit being a home run. Connor Denning (Campbell) was 2-5 at the plate with two runs scored while AJ Campbell (Frostburg State) was 2-4 with an RBI. Ryan Wrobleski (Dallas Baptist) went 1-3 at the plate, with a run scored and an RBI. Jack Zalasky (Sacramento State) threw one scoreless relief inning to pick up the win, while Stone Churby (Sacramento State) threw two scoreless innings to pick up the save.
Willmar Stingers 13 Mankato MoonDogs 3
The Stingers scored in seven of their nine innings on Saturday to cruise past the MoonDogs at Franklin Rogers Park. Chase Stanke (Minnesota) led the Willmar offense, going 2-3 at the plate with a double, a triple and four RBI in addition to two runs scored. Brooks Lee (Cal Poly) was 3-5 for the Stingers with a run scored and two RBI while Jayson Newman (Cal State Northridge) was 2-4 with a double and three runs scored. Jonathan Brand (Miami University of Ohio) got the win for Willmar, going four innings, allowing no runs or hits and recording two strikeouts to pick up his third win of the season.

Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 13 Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 11
After falling behind early, the Dock Spiders came storming back to win an offensive showdown Saturday afternoon. The Rafters scored six runs in the first, and five in the third to take an 11-4 lead. Fond du Lac had their fun in the seventh, when they put up seven runs to take a 13-11 lead, which they were able to hold onto. Sam Novitske (Oregon) led the Dock Spiders offense, going 3-6 with three RBI and a run scored. Angelo D’Acunto (College of the Holy Cross) was the offensive leader for the Rafters, going 3-5 at the plate with two RBI and a run scored.
Rockford Rivets 13 Green Bay Booyah 4
The Rivets pounced on the Booyah, scoring seven runs in the second to open up a 7-1 lead that would be more than enough to top Green Bay. Ryan Hampe (Illinois) was one of the offensive leaders for the Rivets, going 2-5 at the plate with a home run and three RBI. Brody Harding (Illinois) was 2-4 with a run scored and three RBI while Branden Comia (Illinois) was 2-3 with two RBI and two runs scored. Cam Baumann (Iowa) got the start for Rockford and threw four innings, allowing three runs on three hits with seven strikeouts. Jordan Nelson (University of Dubuque) threw five relief innings, allowing one run on four hits with five strikeouts to pick up his first win of the season.
La Crosse Loggers 9 Wisconsin Woodchucks 6
The Loggers scored six runs in the second to spring to an early lead that they wouldn’t relinquish. Kobe Kato (Arizona) went 1-2 at the plate for the Loggers, with three RBI and two runs scored. Matt Stinebiser (Duke) was 1-3, with a double and three RBI. Adam Frank (Miami) had a solid day for the Woodchucks, going 3-4 at the plate with a home run and two RBI. Cam Robinson (Louisville) picked up his second win of the season for La Crosse, throwing three and two-thirds of an inning, allowing three runs and recording four strikeouts. Logan Vanwey (Missouri Southern) threw two scoreless innings with five strikeouts to pick up his first save of the season.

K-Town Bobbers 15 Kenosha Kingfish 5
The Bobbers offense was firing on all cylinders Saturday, as they scored 15 runs on 16 hits to storm past the Kenosha Kingfish. Drew Benefield (Dallas Baptist) had a monster game for the Bobbers, going 1-4 at the plate but the one hit was a home run, and he finished with five RBI. Drake Baldwin (Missouri State) was 3-5 on the game while Justice Bigbie (Western Carolina) went 2-4 with a double and four runs scored. Andy Neu (Wisconsin-Milwaukee) was credited with the win after throwing three innings, allowing two runs on four hits and recording a pair of strikeouts.

Battle Creek Bombers 3 Kalamazoo Mac Daddies 1
The Mac Daddies put together a rally in the fifth, but the Bombers were able to hold on to pick up the win in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday in Kalamazoo. Justin VanDeBrake (Washington State) led the Battle Creek offense, going 2-2 with a run scored. T.J. McKenzie (Vanderbilt) was 1-2 at the plate with a triple, an RBI and a run scored while Trace Peterson (Lake Erie College) also picked up an RBI. Ryan Middendorf (Lake Erie College) picked up the win, throwing four and two-thirds of an inning, allowing one unearned run on three hits with four strikeouts.
Battle Creek Bombers 1 Kalamazoo Mac Daddies 0
VanDeBrake hit a walk-off single to right field in the bottom of the fifth to lift the Bombers to a doubleheader sweep of the Mac Daddies Saturday evening. VanDeBrake finished the game 1-3, with the game-winning RBI. Christian Grigsby (Lamar University) got the start for Battle Creek, throwing three shutout innings, allowing a hit and recording four strikeouts. Luke Murphy (Vanderbilt) threw the final two innings, striking four four batters to pick up the win.
