Tanner Brown (Augustana) was perfect on Wednesday night, as he retired all 15 batters he faced to pick up the win as the Willmar Stingers slipped past the Mankato MoonDogs 5-1.
Brown came on in relief, and was absolutely dominant. He threw five innings, allowing no hits or runs, and striking out seven batters. The seven strikeouts is the third-most in a single game for Brown, who has allowed just three earned runs in 19.1 innings pitched. He now has struck out 35 batters on the season, while scattering eight hits.
