Brett Wicklund (Illinois State) picked up five strikeouts on Sunday to help the Woodchucks to a 7-1 win over the La Crosse Loggers.

Wicklund got the start and threw six innings, allowing a run on five hits while striking out five batters to earn his third straight win. This was his second-most strikeouts this season, just missing the six strikeouts he recorded on July 19 against Fond du Lac.

For the season, Wicklund has made five starts, allowing eight earned runs on 27 hits while striking out 19 batters. His season ERA is sitting at 2.81, while his WHIP (walks and hits per inning pitched) is 1.44.
