The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders won another game by scoring in the double digits, as they swept the Rockford Rivets on Sunday afternoon. In Kalamazoo, the Battle Creek Bombers got swept in a tripleheader for the second straight night, this time losing to the Mac Daddies.

Andrew Pintar (BYU) was 3-5 on Sunday afternoon, with a home run and three runs batted in to lead the Rox to a victory in the first of two games in Willmar. His home run was a two-run shot in the top of the eighth. He wasn’t the only Rox batter to homer in the first game, as Ben Norman (Iowa) hit a three-run homer in the fourth that broke the game open. R.J. Martinez (Minot State) was the starting pitcher for St. Cloud and threw seven strong innings, allowing one run on six hits with eight strikeouts as he picked up his second win of the season.

The Rox scored three runs in the top of the 10th to sweep the Stingers on Sunday night in the nightcap behind a three-RBI performance from Jordan Barth (Augustana), who finished 2-5 on the night. Jack Kelly (Minnesota) also recorded two hits, going 2-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. Pintar was 1-4 with two RBI for St. Cloud. Nate Peterson (Oklahoma State) had a solid relief outing for the Rox, throwing four and one-third of an inning, allowing a run and striking out five batters. The win went to Blake Stelzer (Concordia University-St. Paul), who threw two and two-thirds of an inning with no runs or hits allowed and three strikeouts.
Mankato MoonDogs 11 Rochester Honkers 1
Dylan Phillips (Kansas State) was 3-5 on Sunday evening, with a home run and five RBI as the MoonDogs offense caught fire in a big win over the Honkers. Phillips was the only MoonDog to have multiple hits, but was one of seven MoonDogs to record hits. Jaret Krzuzanowski (Nova Southeastern) got the start for Mankato and threw five innings, allowing one run on three hits with three strikeouts. AJ Wood (Tarleton State) was credited with the win after throwing one scoreless inning.

Bismarck Larks 14 Mandan Flickertails 11
It was a high-scoring affair on Sunday in Bismarck, with the Larks edging the Flickertails by a score that you would expect to see on a football field. The Larks got the scoring started, plating three runs in the top of the first before going on a scoring streak in the middle innings, putting up three in the third, two in the fourth and three in the fifth before capping off the game with a three-runs eventh. The Flickertails did the majority of their damage in the fourth, when they scored eight runs to take a brief lead. Cal James (University of Mary) was 3-6 for the Larks, with two runs scored and three RBI, while Wyatt Ulrich (Richmond) was 3-6 with a triple and an RBI. As a team, Bismarck pounded out 15 hits.

The Dock Spiders are on a roll lately, as they finished off a sweep of the Rivets with their third consecutive game where they scored more than 10 runs against Rockford. Andrew McKenna (Santa Barbara City College) was 2-5 on the day, with a double, a home run and four runs batted in, while Parker Noland (Vanderbilt) finished 3-3, with two runs scored. Tim Elko (Mississippi), Jack Alexander (Austin Peay), Sam Novitske (Oregon) and all had two hits on the game, with Novitske and Aaron Anderson (Liberty) both driving in a pair of runs. Alex Vera (Illinois) got the start for Fond du Lac and threw five shutout innings, allowing a hit with five strikeouts to pick up the win.

The Rafters pitching staff was able to hold the Woodchucks off the board on Sunday, led by five innings from Ryan Mitschele (Western Carolina), who allowed three hits and struck out four batters as he earned his second win of the season. Gabe Levy (Davidson College) had three perfect innings with three strikeouts while Jack Gonzalez (Dixie State) threw a scoreless ninth, striking out two batters. Andy Garriola (Old Dominion) led the Rafters offense, going 1-4 with a home run and three RBI. Hank Zeisler (Chapman(was 2-4 with a double and two RBI while Christian Sepulveda (UT RIo Grande Valley) was 2-3, with a run scored.
La Crosse Loggers 7 Green Bay Booyah 6
The Loggers scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth to slip past the Booyah. The first big blow of the inning came with the bases loaded and Andrew Meggs (Creighton) at the plate. He hit a ground ball to the shortstop that allowed Kyson Donahue (Arizona) to score what was the game-tying run. After Kobe Kato (Arizona) was hit by a pitch, Tanner O’Tremba (Arizona) scampered home on a wild pitch to give the Loggers the lead, and eventually the win. Ronald Sweeny (Minnesota) was the offensive leader for the Loggers, going 2-3 at the plate, with both his hits being doubles, and also drove in a pair of runs.

Kalamazoo Mac Daddies 3 Battle Creek Bombers 2
The Mac Daddies scored three runs in the final innings to hand the Bombers their fourth consecutive loss in the first game of a tripleheader Sunday in Kalamazoo. Anthony Calarco (Northwestern) was 2-3 for Kalamazoo, with a double and a run scored while Kyle Ashworth (Cal Poly) was 2-3 as well. Jake Carroll (Northwood) threw four innings, allowing two runs on one hit with two strikeouts. Ben Grable (Northwestern) picked up the win after throwing a scoreless inning, striking out one batter.

Connor McGuire (UC Irvine) was the next batter and hit a sacrifice fly, allowing Shawn Goosenberg (Northwestern) to score. Cameron French (Wabash Valley College) got the start for the Mac Daddies and threw four shutout innings, allowing two hits and striking out four batters to pick up the win. James Krick (Hillsdale College) threw one scoreless inning, recording three strikeouts to earn the save.

The Mac Daddies took advantage of a five-run third inning to sweep the Bombers on Sunday. Ethan O’Donnell (Northwestern) was 2-2 for the Mac Daddies with an RBI while Chase Coselman (Kalamazoo College) was 1-2 with a double and two RBI. Patrick Arndt (Bellarmine) was also 1-2 with a pair of RBI. Dave Armbrustmacher (Western Michigan) threw four shutout innings for Kalamazoo, allowing two hits and recording six strikeouts as he earned his first win of the season.
Great Lakes Resorters 12 Traverse City Pit Spitters 7
The Resorters rallied back after being down 7-0, highlighted by a five-run fifth inning to beat the Pit Spitters. Christian Garcia (SE Louisiana State) was 2-4 at the plate, with a double, a triple and two runs batted in. Roman Kuntz (Lake Michigan College) was 2-3, with a home run and three runs scored. The other Resorter to have multiple hits was Brendan Ryan (Texas A&M Corpus Christi), who was 2-5 with a double and two runs scored. Jeffrey Milley (Ramapo College) threw two scoreless relief innings to pick up the win, recording one strikeout and just one hit.

Kenosha Kingfish 2 K-Town Bobbers 1
Marc Filia (UC San Diego) was 2-3 on Sunday afternoon, with a home run and two runs batted in as the Kingfish narrowly slipped past the Bobbers in the Kenosha Series. The only other Kingfish batter to record a hit was Matt Korman (Wisconsin-Whitewater), who was 1-3 with a run scored. Trent Turzenski (Valparasio) got the start and threw four scoreless innings for Kenosha, allowing three hits with one strikeouts. Keith Kutzler (Carthage College) came on in relief and threw two and two-thirds of an inning, allowing a run on one hit with four strikeouts to pick up the win. Bryant Bagshaw (Dominican University) threw two and one-third of an inning, striking out one batter to pick up the save.
