Lakeshore Chinooks 13 Kalamazoo Growlers 9
The Lakeshore Chinooks plated six runs in the third inning en route to a 13-9 win against the Kalamazoo Growlers. Luke Storm (Duke University) walked, doubled, and hit a home run for the Chinooks. Collin Matthews (Kent State University) scored three of the Growlers’ runs and brought in two more.
Battle Creek Bombers 10 Traverse City Pit Spitters 5
Miguel Larreal (Hillsborough Community College) collected two hits, a walk, and two RBI for the Battle Creek Bombers in their 10-5 victory over the Traverse City Pit Spitters. Every Bombers hitter reached base at least once. Aiden Brewer (Hillsdale College) and Johannes Haaenson (Concordia University of Wisconsin) each recorded two hits for Traverse City.
Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 6 Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 3
Connor Manthey (Bradley University) doubled twice, scored a run, and collected an RBI in the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders’ 6-3 win over the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters. Two other Dock Spiders hitters also recorded two hits. EJ Exposito (Long Island University) had three of Wisconsin’s eight hits.
Kenosha Kingfish 7 Madison Mallards 4
The Kenosha Kingfish scored four runs on four hits in the bottom of the eighth inning to secure their 7-4 win against the Madison Mallards. Kirk Liebert (Kentucky) doubled, walked, scored a run, and collected an RBI for the Kingfish. Ernie Day (Iowa Western Community College) held the Kingfish to one run and three hits in five innings.
Rockford Rivets 2 Kokomo Jackrabbits 1
Blake Mozley (Missouri State University) homered and walked in the Rockford Rivets’ 2-1 win over the Kokomo Jackrabbits. Jared Herzog (Rockford University) allowed one run in four innings pitched, and the Rivets’ bullpen shut out the Jackrabbits for the rest of the game. Masen Melton (IU-Kokomo) singled and scored the Jackrabbits’ lone run.
Green Bay Booyah @ Wisconsin Woodchucks — Suspended
This game will be completed as a nine inning contest on June 22, starting at 5:05pm CT. The Wisconsin Woodchucks are leading 4-0. The scheduled game on June 22 will begin 30 minutes after the first game ends, and will be seven innings.
Bismarck Larks 3 Mankato MoonDogs 1
Ryan Carmack (Southwest Baptist University) held the Mankato MoonDogs to just one run on four hits in six innings as the Bismarck Larks defeated the MoonDogs 3-1. Carmack struck out eight batters and only issued one walk. For the MoonDogs, Ivran Romero (University of San Diego) only allowed one run in his six innings of work.
La Crosse Loggers 6 Duluth Huskies 3
Michael Dixon II (University of San Diego) walked, recorded three hits, scored a run, and brought in another run in his season debut for the La Crosse Loggers in their 6-3 win against the Duluth Huskies. Kevin Sim (University of San Diego) also made his Loggers season debut and doubled, collected an RBI, and scored twice. Mike Boeve (University of Nebraska – Omaha) had three hits for Duluth.
Minnesota Mud Puppies 8 Eau Claire Express 1
Duke Benge (United State Air Force Academy) held the Eau Claire Express to one run in 6 ⅔ innings pitched as the Minnesota Mud Puppies defeated the Express 8-1. Will Oberg (Eastern Michigan University) hit a two-run home run for his first out of the park hit of the season. Alejandro Macario (Nova Southeastern) collected two hits and a walk for the Express.
St. Cloud Rox 8 Rochester Honkers 7
Tyson Fisher (Dixie State University) and Chris Esposito (University of Nebraska – Omaha) each homered in the top of the ninth inning to give the St. Cloud Rox the 8-7 lead in their win over the Rochester Honkers. Nate Stevens (Johnson County Community College) also hit one over the fence for St. Cloud. Ivan Witt hit a grand slam for Rochester in the bottom of the third inning and finished the night with five RBI.
Willmar Stingers 7 Waterloo Bucks 6
The Willmar Stingers scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth to secure their 7-6 victory over the Waterloo Bucks. Reid Homan (University of North Alabama) collected three hits, brought in three runs, and came around to score the winning run. Paul Steffensen (St. Cloud State) recorded two hits and brought in three of the Bucks’ runs.
