The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters continue their win streak to earn their 13th win. Along with the Rafters, the Traverse City Pit Spitters stay hot winning their sixth game and third series in a row. Due to weather the game between the Battle Creek Battle Jacks and the Kalamazoo Growlers has been rescheduled to June 26th.
Traverse City Pit Spitter 6, Rockford Rivets 1
The Traverse City Pit Spitters swept the Rockford Rivets 6-1. Three players had a multi-hit game and the Pit Spitters combined for 13 hits overall. Colin Summerhill (Troy University) went 3 for 3 with two doubles and one RBI. Evan Orzech (Saint Xavier University) had three singles with one RBI and Christian Beal (University of Richmond) had two singles. Jeremy Neff (University of Richmond) had the win on the mound throwing five innings with seven strikeouts and allowed only one run to score.
Madison Mallards 12, Kokomo Jackrabbits 8
The Madison Mallards received their second win against the Kokomo Jackrabbits 12-8. Behind going into the seventh inning the Mallards got the bats going and scored seven runs to take the lead. J.T Mabry (Middle Tennessee State University) led the team with three hits, a double and one RBI. Marcus Brodil (University of South Florida) had two doubles, two walks and scored 4 RBI. Payton Smith (Georgia Gwinnett College) also had two doubles and scored each time he reached base.
Eau Claire Express 4, Mankato MoonDogs 3
The Eau Claire Express defeated the Mankato MoonDogs 4-3 to take the sweep. Tied going into the bottom of the 10th innings Tanner Marsh (University of St. Thomas) laid down a sacrifice bunt to score the final run to walk off the game. Benjamin Rosengard (Rice University) went 3 for 4 with three singles to lead his team. Ben Taxdahl (University of St. Thomas) had one hit with two walks and two RBI.
Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 6, Kenosha Kingfish 5
The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters rallied to sweep the Kenosha Kingfish 6-5. Down by one going into the bottom of the first inning Brendan Bobo (California State University, Fullerton) launched a home run to tie the game. Garrett Broussard (Utah Valley University) and Levi Jensen (University of North Alabama) both had two singles each and scored once as they reached base. The Rafters generated nine hits and had three stolen bases on the night.
La Crosse Loggers 8, Bismarck Larks 0
The La Crosse Loggers split the series defeating the Bismarck Larks 8-0. Connor Harrison (University of Hawaii) had the win on the mound throwing six innings giving up only four hits and did not allow a run to score. Jack Haley (California State University, Fullerton) led the Loggers with two hits including a single. double, two walks, two RBI and a stolen base. The Loggers scored their final four runs in the top of the eighth inning.
Rochester Honkers 10, Duluth Huskies 5
To take game two of the series the Rochester Honkers defeated the Duluth Huskies 10-5. To rally back in the fourth inning, Tyler White (California State University, Long Beach) drove an RBI single to score the first run of the inning. AJ Campbell (Frostburg State University) followed it up with a double to score the next three runs. Kimo Fukofuka (San Jose State University) had the only triple of the night scoring one run.
Wausau Woodchucks 9, Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 6
To win the series the Wausau Woodchucks take down the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 9-6. The Woodchucks scored their first runs of the game with a two run home run by Ryan Sepede (Brigham Young University). Sepede had two hits with three RBI. To follow it up, Mark Shallenberger (University of Evansville) blasted a home run in the third inning to score three more runs. Shallenberger also had two hits on the night.
Lakeshore Chinooks 5, Green Bay Rockers 4
The Lakeshore Chinooks bounced back to take the win against the Green Bay Rockers 5-4. The Chinooks took the lead in the third inning with a home run by Jack Firestone (Purdue University) that scored two runs. Marcus Cline (University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee) had two singles, one walk and two RBI. Eric Chalus (Kent State University) was the starting pitcher throwing four innings with six strikeouts giving up only two hits.
St.Cloud Rox 4, Willmar Stingers 1
The St.Cloud Rox defeated the Willmar Stingers 4-1 to split the series. The Rox scored their first two runs in the third inning with a two run home run by Magnum Hofstetter (University of Hawaii). Hofstetter scored their next two runs in the seventh with a double to center field. Hunter Day (North Iowa Area Community College) had the win on the mound throwing a complete six innings giving up only three hits and one run to score.
