The Kalamazoo Growlers started the day off with their 22nd win of the season as they defeated the Wausau Woodchucks 15-12. The Growlers have won eight of their past ten games with a .629 winning percentage on the year. The Traverse City Pit Spitters and the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders both won their 18th game of the year and their third game in a row as they take the second place spots in their region.
Kalamazoo Growlers 15, Wausau Woodchucks 12
For their 22nd win of the season the Kalamazoo Growlers defeated the Wausau Woodchucks 15-12. The Growlers scored first with a single by Griffin O’Ferrall (University of Virginia) to get on base. Anthony Stephan (University of Virginia) scored O’Ferrall with a single to center field. O’Ferrall went two for three with three walks, an RBI and one stolen base. Stephan had three hits with a triple and three RBI. Ryan Dykstra (Oakland University) also had three hits with a triple and two RBI. The Growlers generated 19 hits to win their first game of the series.
Kokomo Jackrabbits 5, Battle Creek Battle Jacks 1
The Kokomo Jackrabbits take the first game of the series with a victory over the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 5-1. The Jackrabbits scored their first four runs in the second inning with a two run double by Matt Aribal (University of Hawaii). Angel Galindez (Mitchell College) and Mark Mcnelly (Seton Hall University) both had two hits on the night. Mcnelly drove a double in the eighth inning and scored each time he reached base. Dylan Delvecchio (Tarleton State University) threw seven innings with four strikeouts to earn the win on the mound.
Eau Claire Express 5, St.Cloud Rox 4
The Eau Claire Express take down the St.Cloud Rox 5-4 for their 18th win of the season. The Express rallied back scoring their first two runs in the third inning with an RBI double by Benjamin Rosengard (Rice University). Rosengard had two hits with two RBI and a stolen base on the night. Cadyn Schwabe (North Dakota State University) reached base twice with two singles scoring each time with two stolen bases. Jack Brown (Minnesota State University, Mankato) was the starting pitcher throwing seven innings with two strikeouts and allowed only one run to score.
Waterloo Bucks 16, Duluth Huskies 4
The Waterlooo Bucks win the first game of the series as they defeat the Duluth Huskies 16-4. Ryan Guardino (New Mexico State University) led the offense going four for five at the plate with a home, five RBI and a stolen base. Liam Critchett (Loyola Marymount University) had two hits with a double, home run, walk and a stolen base. Jalen Martinez (Iowa Central Community College) reached base three times with two hits a walk and two RBI scoring each time he reached base. Frankie Cresta (Tennessee Tech University) had the win on the mound throwing five scoreless innings with four strikeouts and giving up only one hit.
Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 12, Madison Mallards 2
The Fond do Lac Dock Spiders win their third game in a row as they take the win against the Madison Mallards 12-2. The Spiders scored in almost every inning with a total of 14 hits and no errors. Nick Mitchell (Western Illinois University) led his team with two singles, a triple, a walk and three RBI. Jackson Loftin (Oral Roberts University) reached base four times with a single, double, two walks, three RBI and a stolen base. Reed Gallant (Rice University) was a key part of the tonight’s success throwing four scoreless innings with seven strikeouts giving up only two hits.
Kenosha Kingfish 6, Lakeshore Chinooks 3
To win the first game of the series, the Kenosha Kingfish defeat the Lakeshore Chinooks 6-3. Taylor Darden (University of the Incarnate Word) went four for five with two RBI and two stolen bases. Jay Beshears (Northwestern University) had a three hits with a double driving in one run. Parker Stinson (Indiana State University) reached base three times scoring twice with a stolen base. Jacob Gehring (Ohio State University) had the win as the starting pitcher throwing 6.2 innings with nine strikeouts allowing only one run to score.
La Crosse Loggers 11, Rochester Honkers 8
For their 16th win of the season the La Crosse Loggers took down the Rochester Honkers 11-8. The Loggers struck first scoring four runs in the bottom of the first inning. Coby Morales (University of Washignton) drove a double to left field to score the first run followed by a three run home run by Blaise Priester (Louisiana State University). Morales had three hits with two doubles and three RBI. Priester went two for four driving in four RBI. The Loggers combined for 12 hits with three doubles and two stolen bases on the night.
Willmar Stingers 7, Bismarck Larks 6
The Willmar Stingers won the first game of the series and their second win in a row. Will Busch (North Dakota State University) and Brett Bateman (University of Minnesota) led their team with two hits and an RBI each. Drey Dirksen (Augustana University) had the only home run for his team scoring two runs in the third inning.Will Hodo (University of Alabama) reached base three times with a double, two walks and scored once as he reached base. Steven Brooks (California Polytechnic State University) earned the win throwing three innings with four strikeouts giving up only two hits.
Traverse City Pit Spitters 4, Rockford Rivets 2
The Traverse City Pit Spitters win their third game in a row defeating the Rockford Rivets 4-2. The Pit Spitters scored first in the fourth inning with a single by Hunter Tabb (Southern University and A&M College) for his first RBI of the night. Tabb had a hit and a walk with two RBI. Mason Patel (Georgia State University) threw the first six innings giving up three hits with five strikeouts and did not allow a run to score. Adam Christopher (Loyola Marymount University) closed the game throwing the last four innings with three strikeouts.
Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 9, Green Bay Rockers 6
The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters continue their winning surge as they beat the Green Bay Rockers 9-6. Stone Miyao (University of Hawaii) led the team with three hits including a single, double, home run and three RBI. Brady Jurgella (Minnesota) reached first with three singles and an RBI scoring once as he reached base. Xavier Rivas (University of Indianapolis) was the starting pitcher throwing four innings allowing only one run to score with four strikeouts.
