The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters stay hot and continue their win streak with a series sweep against the Wausau Woodchucks 11-5.
Lakeshore Chinooks 5, Battle Creek Battle Jacks 1
The Lakeshore Chinooks swept their first series of the second half of the season against the Battle Creek Battle Jacks 5-1. Micheal Seegers (University of Iowa) led the team with three hits and three stolen bases scoring twice as he reached first. John Johnson (Kent State University) drove in the first two runs of the game with a home run over the left field fence in the fifth inning. Joe Glassey (University of Illinois) earned Northwoods League Pitcher of the Night, throwing six innings with six strikeouts giving up three hits and one run.
Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 13, Kokomo Jackrabbits 6
The Fond du Lac Docks Spiders kept swinging the bats to defeat the Kokomo Jackrabbits 13-6. Andrew Sojka (California State University, Northridge) earned Northwoods League Player of the Night with three hits including a double, triple and four RBI with a stolen base. Jackson Loftin (Oral Roberts University) contributed to the offense reaching base four times with three hits including a double, hit by pitch and two stolen bases. Nick Mitchell (Western Illinois University) also had a double, triple and walk reaching home each time with a stolen base and one RBI. Kenny Campbell (University of Connecticut) had the win on the mound throwing three scoreless innings with four strikeouts.
Kalamazoo Growlers 7, Traverse City Pit Spitters 6
The Kalamazoo Growlers bounced back to split the series against the Traverse City Pit Spitters 7-6. The Growlers scored their first two runs in the first inning with an RBI single by Connor Charping (Western Michigan University) and a sac fly by Anthony Stephan (University of Virginia). Charping had two hits with three RBI and Stephan had two hits with two RBI and a stolen base. Ryan Dystra (Oakland University) had a single, double and a walk scoring twice as he reached base. The Growlers combined for 11 hits with five stolen bases. Dylan Freeman (University of Montevallo) received the win throwing six innings with four strikeouts.
Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 11, Wausau Woodchucks 5
The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters continued their success in the second half of the season winning their first series against the Wausau Woodchucks 11-3. With many multi-hit performances Harry Owen (Consumnes River College) led the Rafters with three hits, two doubles and three RBI. Nate Nail (California State University, Fullerton) and Seth Stroh (Wichita State University) both had two hits with a home run and two RBI each. Jacob James (University of North Alabama) had the win on the mound throwing four scoreless innings giving up no hits.
Eau Claire Express 6, Mankato MoonDogs 5
The Eau Claire Express rallied back to take the series against the Mankato MoonDogs 6-5. Max Coupe (Skyline College) drove in the final run of the game in the bottom of the eighth inning with a single to right field. Coupe had three hits with one RBI. Benjamin Rosengard (Rice University) and Joe York (California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) both had two singles with one RBI. Rosengard also had one stolen base reaching home each time. Cadyn Schwabe (North Dakota State University) reached base five times with two hits, two walks and a hit by pitch with two stolen bases scoring twice. Chris Baytosh (California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) earned the win throwing four innings with three strikeouts giving up two hits.
Rochester Honkers 8, Minnesota Mud Puppies 4
The Rochester Honkers take the series as they rallied back to defeat the Minnesota Mud Puppies 8-4. The Honkers scored four runs in the sixth inning and three in the seventh to take the lead. Tyler White (California State University, Long Beach) led the Honkers with two hits including a double and two stolen bases scoring twice. Dario Gomez (University of Nevada, Reno) also had two hits driving in two runs. Theo Hardy (San Jose State University) was able to draw four walks to reach first with one stolen base. Frank Craska (Lafayette College) had the win on the mound throwing three scoreless innings with three strikeouts.
St.Cloud Rox 9, Willmar Stingers 3
For their second win in a row, the St.Cloud Rox take down the Willmar Stingers 9-3. The Rox scored their first four runs in the third inning with a grand slam by Charlie Condon (University of Georgia). Brice Matthews (University of Nebraska) tacked on another run in the fourth with an RBI double. Matthews went three for four with two doubles, a home run and two RBI. Ethan Mann (New Mexico State University) reached base four times with two singles, a walk and a hit by pitch driving in two runs. Joseph Battaglia (Southern University and A&M College) started the game throwing six innings with four strikeouts allowing only two runs to score.
Green Bay Rockers 11, Madison Mallards 9
The Green Bay Rockers rally to split the series against the Madison Mallards 11-9. Tied heading into the top of the ninth the Rockers took the lead with a double by Owen Jackson (University of Toledo) to score two runs. Jackson had three hits with two doubles and two RBI. Brendan Ryan (Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi) also had three hits with a double, two RBI and a stolen base. Rashad Ruff (Coppin State University) closed the game throwing the last two innings with three strikeouts to earn the win on the mound.
Waterloo Bucks 10, La Crosse Loggers 9
In a ten inning victory the Waterloo Bucks split the series with the La Crosse Loggers 10-9. The Bucks struck first with two RBI singles by Raphael Pelletier (Kansas State) and Mason Dobie (University of Dayton) in the top of the first inning. Dobie led the team with four hits, two walks and two RBI. Jake Wilhoit (Davidson College) had three hits including a home run and one RBI. Ryan Guardino (Tennessee Tech University) had two hits with a home run, two RBI, two walks and two stolen bases. Noah Manning (Iowa Western Community College) came into the game throwing 3.2 innings with six strikeouts giving up two hits.
Duluth Huskies 12, Bismarck Larks 11
The Duluth Huskies defeated the Bismarck Larks to split the series in an 11 inning game. The Huskies scored four runs in the first inning with an RBI single by Ambren Voitik (Austin Peay) and RBI triple by Bobby Blandford (Fresno State University). Voitik had four hits with three RBI and a stolen base. Blandford had one hit with four RBI and two walks. Jonathan Vastine (Vanderbilt University) had two hits with a triple, four walks and two stolen bases scoring three times he reached base. Jake Christianson (Feather River College) had the win on the mound throwing the last two innings with five strikeouts.
Kenosha Kingfish 12, Rockford Rivets 10
The Kenosha Kingfish split the series with the Rockford Rivets with a victory of 12-10. The Kingfish rallied back to score nine runs in the sixth inning. Parker Stinson (Indiana State University) had two hits with a double, three RBI, two walks and two stolen bases. Drake Westcott (University of Louisville) also had two hits with a double, one RBI and a stolen base. Jay Beshears (Northwestern University) reached base four times with three walks, a hit by pitch with one RBI. Mccray Gann (Texas State University) had the win on the mound throwing 3.2 innings with five strikeouts.
